This weekend marks the launch of the 2023 NBA Playoffs! The Sacramento Kings will meet the Golden State Warriors in Game 1 of the First Round at Golden 1 Center.

Sacramento Kings will hold the home-court advantage but are coming off three straight defeats. Meanwhile, The Golden State Warriors have struggled in away games all season – yet have gained winning momentum after closing out regular season play with three consecutive victories.

Sacramento Kings had an outstanding campaign, earning their way into the playoffs after 17 years and finishing as the third-seeded side in the West with 48 wins and 34 losses – Sacramento reached its full potential during their second half but appeared somewhat out-of-touch late on before suffering another setback against Denver Nuggets 95-109 on a final scoreline loss to end their season.

Golden State Warriors started the year slowly and faltered early before eventually qualifying for postseason play because Steve Kerr’s team performed better when it mattered most despite an awful away record.

This series will be interesting as the Warriors are starting to play well. The Warriors were bad on the road this season, but it’s now playoff time and we all expect the Warriors to roll but don’t count out the Kings. I am taking the Kings straight up at home against a Warriors team that played poorly this year on the road.
