North Carolins vs Indiana Preview
This, a week ago, looked like a chance for the Hoosiers to prove themselves against the number-one team in the country. What a difference a week can make. make no mistake, though; this is a massive game for a Hoosiers team trying to prove itself. The Tar Heels need to get the ship righted after a tough weekend at the Phil Knight invitational. The history between these teams includes the Hoosiers’ 1981 National Championship win over North Carolina, and who could forget the Hoosiers’ upset win in the 1984 Regional semi-finals, where they beat the Michael Jordan-led Tar Heels? The Status of Armando Bacot is still up in the air, and even if he does play, how healthy will he be? Hubert Davis, the Tar Heels coach, said Bacot practiced on Tuesday and should be full go.
The North Carolina Tar Heels enter this game with a record of 5-2 and ranked 18th in the nation. Alabama and Iowa State defeated them this past weekend to precipitate being dropped from number one to eighteenth. Both of their losses were in the Phil Knight Classic. The Tar Heels have struggled to score points against the best of opponents before the Phil Knight classic, and that struggle continued and even magnified last weekend.
Before the Phil Knight tournament, the Tar Heels had struggled but survived because of a weak schedule. This is the worst example of this. North Carolina beat Gardner-Webb only by SIX points, that was the best example of struggling against weak competition.
This North Carolina team has a lot of talent, despite some struggles. Pete Nance moved to North Carolina during the offseason. Caleb Love and Armando Bacot returned from last year. R.J Davis and Leaky Black also returned. This team boasts a talented starting lineup.
Remember that North Carolina will likely feel tired after the Phil Knight Invitational. The Heels played some very good competition in a very short amount of time. At the same time Indiana’s only game was an easy win over an out-matched Jackso State.

Indiana Hoosiers Betting Tips
With a record of 6-0, the Indiana Hoosiers enter this game looking to prove that they will once again be a nationally relevant team under head coach Mike Woodson. The schedule has been soft until now, outside of a one-point win against Xavier a couple of weeks ago.
Trayce Johnson-Davis is the leader of the Hoosiers. Jackson Davis is a rebounding and scoring machine. He averages 18 points per game on 76 per cent shooting from beyond the arc. He has also been averaging eight rebounds each game. Davis is the heart and soul of the Hoosiers, and I look for him to have a big game in this spot.
Jackson Davis has had a deep and solid team of players around him led by Malik Reneau and Xavier Johnson. Johnson will attempt to control the pace of the game for the Hoosiers and if he does, the Hoosiers will be a tough out for anybody.
This matchup will feature Armando Bacot against Trayce Jackson Davis. This will be a battle between the bigs. Bacot stands 6’11 inches taller than Jackson Davis, who is 6’9, while he has the height advantage, Trace will have the advantage of a raucous home crowd behind him, and at this point in their careers, Trace is just a better player.
The Hoosier’s size difference will make this a fascinating matchup.

If Bacot doesn’t play, this game could get out of hand.
