Indiana vs Kansas Preview
The Kansas Jayhawks (9-1) hope to build on a six-game home winning streak when they host the Indiana Hoosiers (8-2) on Saturday, December 17, 2022, at 12:00 PM ET.
This is a matchup between two teams that look like they have realistic hopes of making deep runs in March.
The Indiana Hoosiers enter this game with a record of 8-2. Arizona and Rutgers defeated them in their two losses. Their season’s best win was against North Carolina. Since their win against North Carolina, the offense has been in terrible shape. They have lost Jalen Hood Schifino, and Xavier Johnson has been inconsistent at the point.
The Hoosiers enter this game as the 14th-ranked team in the country. Indiana’s offense had been very strong until after the North Carolina win. Although Trayce Jackson was the offense, it moved around the perimeter mainly through Hood-Schifino’s ball movement. The Hoosiers were a very strong offense when they were fully healthy. Without Schifino, the Hoosiers have to rely on Johnson, who is not really a true point guard, now I have questions about Schifino, but combining the two gives me more confidence than just Johnson on his own.
This offense looks a lot like last year, where Jackson Davis is the only player who can make it happen. The offense will not move if Jackson Davis isn’t playing well. That is why they have struggled against Arizona and Rutgers. The defense must defend the perimeter better than it did against Arizona where they were slow to switch and did not close out on the shooters very well. The Hoosiers still have many questions to answer, and this game will go along way to show us if the Hoosiers are genuinely back or not.

Kansas Jayhawks Betting Tips

Indiana’s offense won’t be able to replicate Kansas’s success. Indiana, to have a chance, may have to slow this game down some to have a chance to win the game. The game is played at Allen Fieldhouse, which gives Kansas a considerable advantage. The Hoosiers saving grace may be Trace Jackson Davis, who the Jayhawks will have to be able to match up with.
