Our Best Pick: Bet The Fever to Cover

No team could benefit more from this long break than the Wings, who have been plagued with injuries almost from day one. While their roster boasts talent, its lack of consistency has hindered success.

Arike Ogunbowale has been one of the main bright spots, averaging 22.2 points, 4.7 rebounds, 5.1 assists and 2.7 steals per game while taking 20 shots per game – both career-best marks for her!

Natasha Howard has made her presence felt lately since recovering from a broken foot in the season opener, averaging 16.6 points and 6.8 rebounds per game while notching her career-high 36-point performance against Phoenix two weeks ago.

Odyssey Sims signed with the Wings in late June, yet her familiarity with them from playing for them in ’23 showed when she quickly assumed a pivotal role on their roster. Through eight games and six starts, she has averaged 16.4 points while making 52% of her 3-point attempts.

Indiana is beginning to match its lofty expectations on the court, thanks to an effective, balanced attack featuring four players who average double-digit points.

Kelsey Mitchell leads them with 17.1 points per outing, thanks to her 3-point shot which averages 2.4 made out of every 6.4 attempts. Mitchell has eclipsed 20-points three out of her last five games.

Caitlin Clark is a rookie who attempts 8.3 3-point attempts per game while averaging 16.8 points, 7.8 assists and 5.8 rebounds per contest. Clark has recorded at least 11 assists in five of her last six matches although she averaged 5.54 turnovers during that stretch.

Aliyah Boston leads the Fever with 8.8 rebounds per game and recently had an exceptional night, pulling in 16 boards to go along with 17 points in her last matchup. Her previous outing saw 13 boards and 21 total scores!

The Fever are in the middle of the pack regarding offensive rating and pace; however, they rank 11th out of 12 teams regarding defensive efficiency.

The Fever are the more talented team, and they are playing like it. Look for the fever to pill away late.
