Now is the time to seize gold – and no better way than between France, as host, and United States in Frances!
Team USA continues to find a narrowing gap with the field as more NBA talent emerges worldwide. When Team USA won Olympic gold for the first time. This growth of basketball has been tremendous, yet it makes the Americans journey toward gold all that much harder.
But more than that, this game represents the past and present of NBA basketball: LeBron James, Steph Curry and Kevin Durant have long dominated their respective league; France is led by Victor Wembanyama who is possibly the future of the NBA!
All eyes will be watching this matchup as the NBA attempts to seize control from its current Kings.
These odds were updated at 6 am EST on 08/010/24, coming from Draft Kings.
Our Best Pick: Bet France +15.5
France and Team USA represent two teams in starkly different weight classes. While France has secured impressive wins against Germany and Canada on its path to gold, it simply does not possess enough athleticism or talent to match Team USA in this contest.
Though Victor may become the top player one day, that momentous day is not now. Team USA boasts too much talent, and I expect them to come out swinging after this close call against Serbia to win the gold medal.
With that being said, France is playing in front of their countrymen, and I expect a massive effort from them. The Americans win but France will cover.
