Just when you think it couldn’t get worse for the Huskers, it got worse! At home, Nebraska got destroyed by the Northwestern Wildcats, and a winless big ten season is looking more probable. No big ten teams have won fewer than two big ten games in a season since the league’s expansion.

The Gophers 10-1 start was obviously because of an easy schedule, and it is catching up to them quickly as they are now 2-9 in conference play. The Gophers last four losses have come by an average of 11 points, and they seem to be getting worse as the season enters the home stretch.
12) Maryland Terrapins
The Terps seemed to be turning things around, but their last three games have seen them revert, and the NCAA tournament doesn’t look possible for this team that started the season with high hopes.
11) Northwestern Wildcats
The Wildcats had a great week as they got by Rutgers and then beat the brakes off Nebraska. The Wildcats will host Indiana on Tuesday night, and the Hoosiers better bring their A-game if they want to escape with a win.
10) Penn State Nittany Lions
The Nittany Lions beat Iowa in double overtime and then played well against Wisconsin, coming up just two points short. Penn State will be a challenging game for anybody they play the rest of the year.
9) Iowa Hawkeyes
The Hawkeyes have been a disappointment, they only seem to beat the lower half of the big ten, and the three-point shot has been the biggest issue. This talented team will probably find itself on the outside looking in come March.

8) Indiana Hoosiers
The Hoosiers had a week to prepare for Illinois, but they could have had a year from watching the game, and it wouldn’t have mattered! This week, they will face stiff challenges with road games at Northwestern and Michigan State. The Northwestern game is almost a must-win when you look at the rest of their remaining schedule.
7) Rutgers Scarlet Knights
Rutgers dominated Michigan State in the second half on Saturday, and if they could find some consistency, they could make a run at playing in March Madness. Right now, a dreadful stretch in non-conference play is killing their chances.
6) Michigan Wolverines
This week will go a long way in determining the fate of the Wolverines. Michigan travels to Penn State on Tuesday before hosting Purdue on Thursday and Ohio State on Saturday, the Wolverines are a talented team, and they look on the verge of really taking off.
5) Michigan State Spartans
The Spartans are just 3 and 3 over their last six games and are struggling. They barely survived on the road at Maryland and then were taken to the woodshed by Rutgers on Saturday.
4) Ohio State Buckeyes
The Iowa game was cancelled due to weather last week, and with two games added as makeup games, the Buckeyes could still make a run at a big ten championship.
3) Wisconsin Badgers
To have a shot at a conference championship, the badgers face a must=win at Michigan State. They are more than capable of getting that done behind Johnny Davis.

Purdue has an elite frontcourt, and with Jaden Ivey’s ability to dominate games from the backcourt, the Boilers are as good as anybody in the country. A showdown against the Illini looms on Tuesday, which the Boilermakers need to win.
