11) Northwestern Wildcats
In their one game this week, Northwestern beat DePaul cross-city rival. Although this won’t be a game that defines the season, it is a win nonetheless. 9) Iowa Hawkeyes

7) Michigan State Spartans
After a difficult start to the year, the Spartans were able to take the week off. As their last non-conference games for the year, Michigan State will play Oakland on Wednesday night and Buffalo next week.
6) Penn State Nittany Lions
Penn State trounced Canisius to improve its record to 8-3 and remain in contention for an NCAA Tournament bid. The Nittany Lions have been a surprise so far this season and look like a serious contender to make it into March Madness.

5) Indiana Hoosiers
The Hoosiers have solid wins against Xavier and North Carolina. They have followed that up with convincing losses to Arizona and Kansas. The health of Xavier Johnson is up in the air, and the Hoosiers have many questions to answer after a lackluster effort in Kansas.

4) Illinois Fighting Illini
Like many other Big Ten teams this week, Illinois had a tune-up matchup and won. Although the Fighting Illini did sleepwalk a little in the second half to allow Alabama A&M to get back into the game, it was not surprising.
