Andre Iguodala believes Rasheed Wallace would be a better player than Giannis in today’s NBA on “The Dan Le Batard Show With Stugotz.”
Iguodala began to talk about the fact that every championship team in the history of the NBA had at least one superstar player. He couldn’t think of any other team that didn’t have one superstar player, but the 2003-04 Pistons were it. Wallace was awarded his first ring in his NBA career that season with the Pistons. Detroit was ranked third in Eastern Conference at 54-28 (.659)
Iguodala also stated that Rasheed Wallace could have been a top-five player for the league for a decade. He was shooting half-court shots right-handed and left-handed, but there’s more to basketball than shooting.
“If Wallace were to play in modern-day basketball today, he would be a top-five player.” He would be better than Giannis, and I love Giannis.
Dan Le Batard stated that Andre Iguodala used to be a statistician on the 76ers. But he preferred winning. He was traded to the Warriors after playing for the Nuggets for a season. After that, he won four championships with Golden State. In 2015, Iguodala was named NBA Finals MVP.
Iguodala believes there are many types of winning. He said, “Winning a championship is not worth it.” If you think about it, only a small percentage of teams win championships. You’ll win when certain front offices and teams value winning.
This one is already over for Iguoleague’se league’s forward/center was a 16-year veteran. In the 1995 NBA Draft, Wallace was also selected by the Washington Bullets as the fourth overall pick. In 1,109 NBA games, Wallace averaged 14.4 points and 6.7 rebounds. He also had 1.8 assists, 1.8 rebounds, one steal, and 1.3 blocks. His average shooting percentage was 46.7% from the field and 33.6% from 3-point distance.
He averaged 10.1 points and 4.7 rebounds per game during his rookie season 1995-96 with the Bullets. In 1995-96, he was named to the NBA All-Rookie Wallace’s. Wallace’s offensive game was his best during his time with the Trail Blazers. In the 2000-01 and 2001/02 seasons, Wallace averaged 19 points per game with Portland. Wallace was not even among the top five players of his era.
Antetokounmpo won a ring and was named Finals MVP for the Bucks in 2020. The Greek Freak has already won two MVP awards: one NBA Most Improved Player Award (2017) and one NBA Defensive Player of the Year Award (2020).
Giannis, who is just 27 years old, is a reminder. He was selected to the NBA 75th anniversary team during the 2021-22 season. In the 2013 NBA Draft, the Bucks selected Giannis 15th overall. Antetokounmpo had a season average of 29.9 points and 11.6 rebounds. He also had 5.8 assists, 5.8 steals, and 1.4 blocks in 67 games.
