World Series Game 5 Los Angeles Dodgers vs New York Yankees: Odds, Tips and Predictions 10-30-24

The New York Yankees exploded offensively on Tuesday night to extend the series to a game five. Can they send the series back to Los Angeles tonight? Gerrit Cole will take the mound for the Yankees and should have a long leash in game five. The Dodgers will counter with Flaherty, who I do not think will pitch deep into this game because of some injuries. The Dodgers bullpen should be loaded and well-rested for this game.

Los Angeles Dodgers vs New York Yankees

• Run Line: Yankees -1.5
• Moneyline Dodgers +118
• Moneyline Yankees-136
• Over/Under 8

After leaving in the sixth inning due to hamstring tightness in game one of the world series, Flaherty does have some questions surrounding hi,m. His last fastball velocity (88.8 mph) before Giancarlo Stanton homered off his curve suggests something could have gone amiss.

However, Flaherty’s hamstring injury and arm injury are enough for me to question his usage on Wednesday.

Even as the Dodgers burned through long relievers in Game 3, Dave Roberts kept all his high-leverage arms available to help close out this series in five games.

The Yankees Cole should come up bug in this game, and he will have a long leash to try to extend this series. The Yankees bats woke up on Tuesday night, and if that continues, we could see this series travel back to Los Angeles.

Dodgers vs Yankees Moneyline

New York is 5-2 over its last seven home games, and with what the Yankees showed after losses to the Kansas City Royals in the ALDS and Cleveland Guardians in the ALCS, are that they are dangerous at home with their backs against the wall. Dodgers vs Yankees Over/Under Analysis

In this matchup, the strongest bet would be an over 8 (-115).

I think that Cole will pitch into the sixth inning, while the Dodgers will go into the bullpen by the fourth inning. The Yankees must have a lead by the time the Dodgers go to the pen.
