10) Will Clark

He was second in MVP voting in 1989 and made five all-star appearances for San Fran. He hit as many as 35 home runs in a single season and had three seasons of 100+ RBI.

9) Gaylord Perry

Perry was a Giant for a decade and had solid numbers for that decade with a solid 2.96 ERA with 134 wins, 21 shutouts, and a 6.3 SO/9 ratio in more than 2,200 IP.

8) Tim Lincecum

Lincecum won 2 Cy Youngs in his first two full seasons, and he is still the only pitcher to ever do that. He appeared in four straight all-star games from 2008-11. Lincecum also pitched no-hittersĀ in 2013 and 2014. Lincecum won World Series rings with the Giants in 2010, 2012, and 2014.

7) Orlando Cepeda

Cepeda won rookie of the year in 1958 and spent 9 seasons with the Giants.Ā  Cepeda won the rookie of the year award as a Giant in 1959. As a Giant the career stats are impressive a 308 average and nearly 1,300 hits, 200+ home runs, and 750+ RBIs.

6) Juan Marichal

Juan’sĀ impressive career record of 3.3 strikeouts per walk leads the Giants; he also holds San Francisco’s record for wins and is at, or around, the top of nearly every pitching category in Giants history.

5) Mel Ott

Ott led theĀ National League in home runs a then-record six times. He was anĀ All-Star for 11 consecutive seasons. In his 22-season career, OttĀ battedĀ .304 with 511Ā home runs, 1,860Ā RBIs, 1,859Ā runs, 2,876Ā hits, 488Ā doubles, 72Ā triples, 89Ā stolen bases, 1,708Ā BB, .414Ā on-base percentageĀ and a .533Ā slugging average. Defensively, he recorded a .974Ā fielding percentage. He hit better than .300 10 times in his major league career. At the time of his retirement, he had hit 200 more home runs than the next-highest National Leaguer.

4) Willie McCovey

A 500 home run club member, he won the Rookie of the Year Award in 1959. He won the NL MVP award a decade later, leading the league with 45 HR and 126 RBI.

3) Barry Bonds

Controversy follows Bonds even today because of suspected steroid use, but Bonds was one of the greatest players in Baseball history and could do it all. Bonds hit 73 home runs in 2001.

2) Christy Matthewson

During his 17-year career, Mathewson won 373 games and lost 188 for a .665 winning percentage. His careerĀ ERAĀ of 2.13 and 79 careerĀ shutouts are among the best all-time for pitchers, and his 373Ā winsĀ are still number one in the National League, tied withĀ Grover Cleveland Alexander.
