🎯 Starting Pitchers & Matchup Breakdown

🔸 Yankees: Clarke Schmidt (RHP, 2–3, 4.04 ERA, 50 K)

• Coming off six days’ rest, Schmidt looked solid in his last outing (8 IP, 3 ER, 8 K). He’s been stronger against righties (.561 OPS) than lefties (.820 OPS).

🔸 Royals: Kris Bubic (LHP, 5–3, 1.43 ERA, 79 K)

• Quietly leads MLB in ERA; his changeup has held right-handed batters to a .100 average with no XBH.

⛔ Key Matchup Notes:

• Schmidt’s vulnerability to lefties meets a Royals lineup deepened by lefty threats like Bobby Witt Jr. and Caglianone.

• Bubic’s elite changeup presents major trouble for Schmidt’s offense-heavy Yankees.

• This may limit early scoring, particularly from New York’s middle order.

📊 Recent Form & Context

• Yankees bounced back with a 10–2 romp Tuesday. Max Fried struck out seven in seven innings, lowering his ERA to 1.84.

• Royals have dropped three straight and struggle to produce more than ~3 RPG during rough stretches.

• In head-to-head play this season, the Yankees are 4–0 against KC

Yankees vs Royals Moneyline

.Strong lean toward Yankees. With Schmidt vs Bubic, moneyline price (~–200) offers less value unless +EV extraction is clear.

Run line (Yankees –1.5): Riskier — the likelihood of Schmidt and Bubic delivering a low-scoring game makes this a tough cover.

DraftKings

4.5/5

Tip: Bet Yankees ML

• Good Pitching Matchup
• Yankees Hitting better
• Royals at home

Prop Picks:

1. First 5 Innings Under on Runs – Both SPs excel early. Bubic glänzt; Schmidt effective early innings .

2. Bubic Over 5.5 Innings Pitched – High floor with low walk-allowance and pitch-count efficiency.

3. Royals +1.5 at Plus Money – Simulation gives them a >50% chance to cover.

Yankees vs Royals Over/Under Analysis

Leaning Under. Bubic likely to stymie lineup and Schmidt may keep it tight through 5–6 innings..

DraftKings

4.5/5

Tip: Bet the Over 8

• Pitching strong for both teams
• I Expect a low-scoring game
• Bullpen will be key
