The Kansas City Royals have been hot, winning eight out of ten games; they did lose two out of three over the weekend, only scoring one run in each of the two losses. They did score 11 in their one win. The Chicago White Sox, as of now, are the worst team in Baseball, and they were wiped out in three straight games at home by the Cincinnati Reds.
These odds were updated at 9 am EST on 04/15/24, coming from Draft Kings.
The White Sox were dismal against the Reds this past series, falling by an aggregate score of 27-5 and to 2-13 for their worst start ever in franchise history. It seems unlikely they can recover when facing off against Kansas City on Monday night.
Kansas City saw their pace drop slightly in Queens, losing two of three games by scoring just one run each in each defeat, yet still managed an 11-run victory on Saturday and is 8-2 over its last ten overall games. They should continue this success against Chicago against Southsiders as Lugo held them to one run for almost seven innings less than two weeks ago before starting 26 times last season in San Diego (three.57 ERA, 1.20 WHIP in 26 starts). They can expect another successful day tomorrow with a depleted lineup.
Kansas City recently defeated the Chicago White Sox 4-0 at Kauffman Stadium earlier this month. Kansas City outscored them 20-5, and I love Kansas City Royals run line odds, which offer around -110 odds – I particularly recommend taking them up!

The moneyline bet for the Royals does not hold enough value and at the present stage I don’t know if I would bet the White Sox to beat a little league team. Stay off the moneyline and give the -1.5 runs.
Β
I would take the over and assume that the Royals are going to put up six or more runs themselves in this situation. The White Sox should be good for at least a couple of runs in this game.
Β
The -1.5 seems like a safe bet with the way these two teams have played as of late. I know it’s baseball, and I know that means the White Sox will win some games, but there is no way, with the way they are playing, that I am betting that happens now.
Β
This will be these teams first meeting this season and over the last three years the Royals have won ten of the last thirteen matchups between these two teams.
Β
Everything favors a Royals win in this game. They have every advantage which includes being the better team. The White Sox were destroyed over three games by the Reds over the weekend and I expect the same result from this series.
