The Seattle Mariners won going away in the first game of this three-game series with the Cincinnati Reds. Tonight in game 2, Logan Gilbert takes the mound against Hunter Green. I look for this game to be much more competitive than last night’s game.

Our Best Pick: Mariners to Cover

Seattle has won seven of the last eight meetings between Seattle and Cincinnati at Seattle, though Seattle has struggled at bat. Their 4.36 ERA on the mound and field percentage are top-10 marks; they averaged 0.63 errors per game and rank 17th, while Cincinnati sits 20th with 0.73 errors per game; Hunter Greene allowed seven runs on six hits while serving up two homers last Wednesday against Milwaukee before losing 7-2; right-hander Logan Gilbert has posted a 2.66 ERA while making two starts, both ending in victories, with 6 earned runs allowed across 20 1/3 innings pitched over his three starts while Hunter Greene allowed seven runs on six hits including two homers; Logan Gilbert had allowed only six earned runs against Milwaukee last Wednesday while Cincinnati starting pitcher Hunter Greene allowed seven runs while serving up two home runs (also serving up two homers).

Reds vs Mariners Moneyline

A money line bet works if you like either team, but I prefer the Run Line when betting on the Mariners. Reds starting pitcher Hunter Green has struggled this season and the Mariners should be able to take advantage of this pitching matchup to score a comfortable win.

Tip: Bet Mariners to Cover

• Bet the Mariners and the run line
• Pitching is the key
• Reds bullpen could be an issue

Reds vs Mariners Over/Under Analysis

I would take the over in this one with an over/under of seven. I think 7 is way to low with Hunter green on the mound. Green does have the talent to pitch a gem, but he is inconsistent and can struggle on the road in games like this.

DraftKings

4.5/5

Tip: Bet the Over 7

• The Mariners offense has been hot
• Green has struggled
• Mariners are tough at home

Reds vs Mariners Spread Analysis

The -1.5 seems like a safe bet with the way Hunter Green has pitched this season. Logan Gilbert, the Mariners’ starter, has started the season out hot and should give the Mariners a big pitching advantage in this game. Check out the top MLB Betting apps.

Reds vs Mariners Head-to-Head

These teams met on Tuesday night, with the Mariners winning easily. Last season, the Reds beat the Mariners in two out of three games at GABP. Overall, since 2002, the Mariners have held a 22-6 series lead over the Cincinnati Reds.

Conclusion

This game looks like a Mariners win to me, with Logan Gilbert taking the mound as the Mariners starting pitcher. The Mariners are tough at home, and the starting pitching advantage should be enough to put them above the top. I also like the Over bet in this game at 7.
