Sports films worth writing about!

A lot of films about sports have been shot, but, unfortunately, not all of them are worthy of your attention. In our selection of the best sports movies, there are only proven films, each of which is worth spending two hours from your life and about which student can write a great essay.

  1. “Moneyball”

A sports drama about baseball, in which there is practically no game. But there is Brad Pitt with one of his best roles. The film received 6 nominations for the Oscar and was noted by film critics around the world. The story of a man who was not afraid to take a team with financial difficulties and unexpectedly for everyone began to gradually realize a dream that only he himself believed in. A magnificent drama, which is much more than just a film, but rather an excerpt from real life, into which we are transferred for several hours.

  1. “Senna”

One of the classic sports movies (documentary) about the life and tragic death of one of the best racers in the history of Formula 1. The dramatic episodes add real racing recordings and videos from the rider’s home archive. In 2011 it was recognized as the best documentary, collected more than ten different awards from many prestigious film festivals. Experts noted an amazing installation in this picture – each viewer feels as if he himself is being transferred to the track.

  1. “Rush”

Another biographical drama that fans of Formula 1 watch several times. The film was based on the events of 1976. Nicky Lauda and James Hunt – each of them goes to the title in his own, fundamentally different from the opposite way. Everything will be decided in the last race…

  1. “Coach Carter”

A typical US ghetto does not bode well. There are two ways for guys here – either a morgue or a prison. But there are people who want to break this law. And coach Carter is one of them. In this film, everything is remarkably shown: relations within the team, the role of the coach in nurturing the team spirit and personality of each individual player, their passion for basketball.

Sometimes sports can be compared to studies. For example, in writing an essay, you try, think, brush, scanner, and filter out information. You try and do everything in order to achieve the main goal – high marks.

  1. “Glory Road”

One could easily make a rating of a dozen terrible films about basketball, but not always a movie about the “best ball game” is bad. This is a masterpiece that only a few have seen. The film is not only about basketball but also about the attitude towards African Americans. The picture tells about the year 1966 when no one dared to create teams only from black people, but the brave coach took a chance.

  1. “The Blind Side”

Sports drama based on real events. This is more than the traditional story of a poor African American. “The Invisible Side” is a film, rather, not about sports, but about the right human values, without which one cannot advance in sports. By the way, it is about American football.

  1. “Million Dollar Baby”

The story of a female boxer. In general, the film “Million Dollar Baby” needs no introduction. This is one of the best sports dramas with a great star cast: Hilary Swank, Morgan Freeman, and Clint Eastwood and it won four Oscars, including for the best film.

Conclusion:

Whichever of these films you choose to watch, you won’t regret it! These are films about destinies, about support, about difficulties and about the desire to become the best!
