The Milwaukee Brewers have a chance to finish the job tonight. The Tampa Bay Rays have one opportunity to keep their season alive.
Milwaukee dominated Monday’s Game 3, winning 10–1 behind an eight-run fifth inning and six excellent innings from Robert Gasser. The Brewers now lead the World Series 3–0 and stand one victory from their first championship.
Tuesday’s matchup presents a different pitching situation. Tampa Bay turns to Griffin Jax, while Milwaukee had not announced its starter at the time of this preview.
My lean is Milwaukee on the moneyline at −135 or better. The Brewers’ pitching depth and Tampa Bay’s inability to sustain offense give Milwaukee a strong opportunity to complete the sweep.

DraftKings odds reported by Sports Illustrated on October 27. Confirm current prices and Milwaukee’s pitching announcement before betting.
Tampa Bay needs a cleaner performance in every phase, starting with an offense that produced only three hits Monday.
The Rays managed their lone run in the ninth inning, long after Milwaukee had established control. A return home did little to change the offensive problems that developed after Tampa Bay’s four-run first inning in Game 2.
Tonight, the Rays need competitive at-bats before the game reaches another pressure-filled bullpen finish.
Jax also faces a demanding assignment. He has allowed four earned runs in six postseason innings, including three runs over four innings in his ALCS start against Cleveland.
Tampa Bay cannot reasonably ask him to win this game alone. The defense must finish routine plays, and the lineup must provide enough support to keep Kevin Cash from managing every pitching decision with no margin for error.
The plus-money price offers some appeal, but desperation alone does not make the Rays the better selection.
Milwaukee enters Game 4 with more than a commanding series lead. Monday’s comfortable victory also allowed the Brewers to navigate the game without relying on their usual late-inning group.
Gasser handled six innings, Antonio Senzatela followed with two scoreless frames, and Brandon Woodruff pitched the ninth. That workload distribution gives Milwaukee flexibility tonight.
The unanswered question is how the Brewers will arrange their opening innings.
Until the starter is announced, this selection should be viewed as backing Milwaukee’s overall pitching plan. The Brewers have shown they can combine shorter outings effectively, but the first matchup still matters.
Offensively, Milwaukee should maintain the same disciplined approach: create traffic, force Tampa Bay to execute and avoid giving away at-bats while chasing a championship-clinching swing.
The Brewers have earned this position through sustained execution. At a modest favorite’s price, I prefer their depth and current offensive approach.
These are suggested alternate-line markets, not confirmed sportsbook offerings or quoted prop prices. Confirm availability, starting lineups and Milwaukee’s pitching plan before betting.
A modest alternate strikeout threshold is my preferred pitching-prop approach. Jax’s workload could depend heavily on the score and how aggressively Tampa Bay manages an elimination game. Three strikeouts provides more flexibility than a higher target, although an expensive price could eliminate the value. Confirm that he remains the starter.
Díaz remains my preferred Tampa Bay hit-prop target if he starts near the top of the lineup. The one-hit market avoids requiring a home run or an RBI opportunity. Milwaukee’s unannounced starter makes the opening matchup uncertain, so this is a selection to reassess once the pitching plan becomes clear.
Contreras remains a sensible Milwaukee hit-prop candidate, provided he starts in his usual prominent lineup position. I prefer the straightforward one-hit market over asking him to homer or drive in a run. Jax could be followed by several different pitchers, making the full game’s opportunities more relevant than one matchup.
Chourio collected four hits in Monday’s victory, making him an obvious player to watch tonight. That performance does not guarantee another productive game, and it should not justify paying any price. My preference is one hit rather than chasing another multi-hit outing or extra-base performance.
Give Jax clean innings. Tampa Bay must avoid extending Milwaukee’s opportunities with defensive mistakes or unnecessary walks. Extra outs become especially dangerous against a lineup producing sustained rallies.
Keep applying pressure. Milwaukee should make Tampa Bay earn its outs instead of becoming overly aggressive with a championship within reach.
Win the middle innings. With Milwaukee’s starter unannounced and Tampa Bay facing elimination, both managers may change pitchers quickly. The quality of those transitions could determine the game.
I am backing Milwaukee on the moneyline at −135 or better, subject to its final pitching announcement.
The Brewers have the stronger overall position entering tonight. Their offense is producing pressure throughout the lineup, and Monday’s pitching usage leaves them with multiple options for protecting a close game.
Tampa Bay remains capable of extending the series. A three-game deficit does not make another loss inevitable, but the Rays need substantial improvements in offensive consistency and execution.
My secondary lean is under 7 runs, with less confidence than the moneyline selection. I expect a more competitive game than Monday’s rout, and both managers have reason to act quickly when trouble develops.
The projected outcome is a close game through the middle innings before Milwaukee creates enough separation to finish the sweep.
Prediction: Brewers 4, Rays 2 — Milwaukee completes the sweep and wins its first World Series championship.
