Kyle Thibideau

I grew up in Cedar Lake, Indiana and have been surrounded by sports my entire life, becoming a collegiate athlete for a NAIA team, Indiana University Kokomo, competing in track and field, and cross country. I have been a sports fanatic my entire life, watching every Bears, Bulls, White Sox, Blackhawks, Notre Dame, and sports game in general. I am a competitor at heart and everything I did was focused on sports, including video games, fantasy, debated topics, etc. At heart I’m a sports fanatic and that will not change anytime soon even if I have one of the worst teams to root for.

Testimonials from Colleagues

With over a decade of experience in sports betting, I’ve built a reputation on college basketball statistical analysis and trends. Even though I live and breathe college basketball through the end of the calendar years, I have made the switch to college football and the NFL, signaling my ability to translate what I learned writing betting game articles for flurry sports and translating that to football in the same way. I have also had my share of being on podcasts, giving the media and the fans something to tune into and grow the brand and trust of the website.
My work in the past and present has thrived on what others do not like doing, writing about the teams that many forget and have no interest in, especially when I wrote about college basketball, focusing on mid-majors. It’s not just about my passion for sports betting anymore, it’s about the approach and trends of how we, as the public, are to beat the books day by day. It is about how we recognize if the sportsbooks are settling a line that is too favorable that we should not take or if it seems like a sure bet and the whole public is on it. During my time here I want to make sure we get the message across that we are as one and not separated.

We asked

What's your philosophy on approaching sports betting?
It’s about helping readers understand when sportsbooks are setting favorable lines versus when they’re setting traps. I focus on recognizing public betting patterns and identifying situations where following the crowd will cost you money. Sports betting isn’t about pretending to be the smartest person in the room—it’s about doing honest research and sharing what I find so we can all make smarter decisions together.
Why do you focus on teams and games that other writers ignore?
That’s where the value is. Everyone covers the big games and popular teams, which means the lines are sharp and harder to beat. When you’re willing to research mid-majors in basketball or less hyped NFL matchups, you find inefficiencies in the market. Sportsbooks can’t focus equally on every game, so the games that get less attention often have better betting opportunities.
What do you want readers to take away from your betting coverage?
I want them to understand we’re in this together. Beating the books isn’t about one person having secret information—it’s about doing thorough research, recognizing trends, and making disciplined decisions as a community. My goal is to provide honest analysis that helps everyone make smarter bets, not to act like I have all the answers. We learn and improve together.
