As the sweat drops from both the Super Bowl champs, the Kansas City Chiefs, and the 2024 Halftime show headliner, Usher, still linger in the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, speculation for next year is already in full swing. Who is performing at the 2025 Super Bowl Halftime show?

While the rumor mill is buzzing at full capacity, and artists like Lil Wayne willingly throw themselves into the mix as potential headliners, The Grueling Truth decided to put it to the test and conducted a survey among 2,000 Americans with that one big question… After global icons like Madonna, Michael Jackson, and Beyoncé – who tops America’s wish list for the 2025 Super Bowl Halftime Show in New Orleans?

Taylor Swift is America’s top pick for 2025 Halftime Show

There’s no doubt about it: Taylor Swift is leading America’s wish list for the 2025 Super Bowl Halftime show. America’s sweetheart is currently smashing records with her international Eras Tour and keeping tongues wagging with her romance with Kansas City Chiefs player Travis Kelce. But it seems America isn’t close to being tired of Swift, and would love to see her take center stage during the Super Bowl Halftime Show in 2025.

In second place, we have Metallica. Like Taylor Swift, the California rockers are currently on a world tour. However, despite the possibility that the men may have an open schedule in February 2025, frontman James Hetfield has previously questioned whether Metallica is suited for a spectacle like the Super Bowl Halftime Show.

Twenty-five years after the release of “My Name Is”, Eminem’s popularity remains as strong as ever. The rapper holds the third spot on America’s wish list of Halftime Show headliners. Interestingly, Eminem is no stranger to the stage of the Super Bowl Halftime Show; he performed there in 2022 alongside Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Mary J. Blige, and Kendrick Lamar.

Post Malone

Post Malone made waves this year prior to the game between the Kansas City Chiefs and the San Francisco 49ers with his rendition of “America the Beautiful”. And it seems his performance was well-received, because the singer is among the top 5 most desired headliners for the 2025 Super Bowl Halftime Show.

Bringing up the rear of the top 5 is Kanye ‘Ye’ West. The rapper made a brief appearance this year during the Super Bowl by promoting his Yeezy clothing line during the commercial break. Yet, many Americans would love to see more of him next year. Ye takes the fifth spot on the wishlist, surpassing Dua Lipa, Billie Eilish, Drake, BTS, and Billy Joel.

1 in 10 fell asleep watching the 2024 Super Bowl

Whoever headlines next year, let’s hope they keep us hooked to the screen. With Super Bowl ticket prices soaring to as high as $45,000 each, not everyone could make it to the stadium. Many chose to watch from the comfort of their living rooms. But relaxing on the couch, it’s easy to doze off. 1 in 10 confess to falling asleep during the Super Bowl. Nearly half of them, however, did so after the halftime show, despite the adrenaline-pumping Super Bowl promos that keep viewers engaged throughout the game.

In February 2024, immediately following the 2024 Super Bowl, we asked 2,000 American residents who they would prefer to see as the headliner for the Super Bowl Halftime Show next year, and whether or not they fell asleep while watching the 2024 Super Bowl. Of all respondents, 67% were male, 31% were female, 1% were non-binary, and 1% identified as other.
