West Ham Transfer News: The Latest Players Reportedly Joining The Hammers in The Summer

West Ham transfer news!

West Ham United have a fantastic season so far and is the surprise team of the English Premier League. Currently only 2 points from a Champions League position, West Ham are being linked to several high-profile players in the summer transfer window. For the Hammers to compete even more next season and challenge for trophies, the club needs to sign additional players, with strikers at the top of the priority list.  Here are the latest players rumored to be on their way to East London in the Summer.

  • Jesse Lingard

The Manchester United player has been at West Ham United on loan and he has become a sensation for the team. West Ham United will be looking at securing his services and will be more than confident of doing so. Whilst the player is still under Manchester United contract, it is clear he is enjoying his football and getting time, both of which he wasn’t enjoying under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

  • Morgan Sanson

A player that has been linked with the team for several months now is Marseille’s £25million-rated star Morgan Sanson. The deal is being touted as a player-swap transfer with Manuel Lanzini going the other way. Reports are that David Moyes wants to replace Lanzini who is still rated in at  £15m. The French midfielder will be a good addition to the team if they can manage to secure his services this summer.

  • Odsonne Edouard

Glasgow Celtic striker Odsonne Edouard is another player which is a potential signing for David Moyes this transfer window.  The striker, who is currently self-isolating, has contributed 11 goals and four assists in 23 appearances across all competitions this season.

Media sources revealed that the Hoops have slashed their talismanic striker’s price tag to just £25million after asking £40m last summer.

  • Christian Eriksen

Reports are from Italy is that West Ham have approached Inter Milan for midfielder Christian Eriksen. The Milan club are keen to reduce the wage bill for a player that has made minimal impact since joining. With the Hammers being the only team with a concrete offer for the player, if there is a chance of a Premier League return then West Ham could be a good option for the Danish midfielder. Should fans return to the Premier League this season, West Ham United tickets will be in demand due to the team playing well.

  • Alassane Plea

The latest name linked with a move to the London Stadium is Borussia Monchengladbach striker Alassane Plea. The Frenchman 27, has been in fine form this season, with seven goals and five assists in 18 games for the German team. The former Lyon player is energetic and has good ability with his back towards goal. Fans will be hoping David Moyes and co can secure the services of Plea to help with the push in the second half of the Premier League season.

  • Tammy Abraham

Another player that could potentially move to the Clarets is currently the leading scorer for Chelsea Tammy Abraham. Whilst his statistics this season have been impressive, with 2 goals as well as six assists, he has been out of favour under new manager Thomas Tuchel. Whilst England International would be the most expensive player on the list, with the potential sale of Declan Rice this could pave the way for a big signing like Abraham.

With the European Championships taking place this summer, many teams will be looking for standout players. If West Ham can qualify for the Champions League then they will be able to attract the best players.

What do you think of the above players and the chances of them turning out in claret and blue next season.
