Manchester United's Mason Greenwood

The 2018-19 season of the Premier League wasn’t the one to remember for the Premier League giants Manchester United. Out of the 38 matches played during the season, they won 19 and drew 9 fixtures. As many as 10 defeats hindered their chances of ensuring a top 5 finish. The Red Devils showcased a lot of caliber throughout the tournament. They had their moments but couldn’t make them count. As a result, they finished sixth in the Premier League, All in all, it was a season of missed opportunities for Manchester United.

The team hasn’t tasted much success in recent times. Some of their million-dollar players haven’t been able to make their presence felt. Columbian star Alexis Sanchez was the season’s biggest disappointment.

But, as they always say: ‘You always live to fight another day.” The Red Devils are known for their never-say-die attitude. They have won the Premier League title a record 13 times.  Also, they have got off to a solid start in the 2019-20 season. The Red Devils registered a thumping 4-0 victory against Chelsea FC.

In order to maintain consistency, you need to have a stable core, and in order to maintain a stable core, you need to nurture youngsters. It certainly won’t be wrong to say that Many of the United players have become aged. The likes of Juan Mata and Ashley young are in their thirties. Ashley Young, the veteran from England, has not been in the best of forms for quite some time now. At 34, he is in the autumn of his career.

In all fairness, Manchester United F.C. needs to invest in youngsters. Players in their early 20s need to make their presence felt. Here’s a list of youngsters who can make a difference this time around.

Daniel James: The 21-year-old was roped into the side from Swansea City. In his first three matches this season, the youngster has scored a couple of goals. He is agile, and is known for his aggressive on-field mindset. If you wish to see Dan James in action, then get your match tickets booked using Tic Flip.

Mason Greenwood

The teenager found a place in Manchester United’s senior side on the back of some impressive performances at the U-18 and U-23 levels. This young chap is known to possess exceptional dribbling ability. His slim built allows him to run quite freely. The 18-year-old is considered a long-term prospect by the club. His time with Manchester United will prepare him well for the upcoming set of challenges.

James Garner

The 18-year-old made his debut for Manchester United in a fixture against Crystal Palace. He came out as a substitute in the 90th minute. The Red Devils ended up winning the match quite handsomely. He is known to possess a pretty sound technique. At times, he tends to drop deep in order to gain ball possession. At 18, Garner has a long road ahead of him. Also, his David Beckham likeability to ping inch-perfect passes into the wing is quite well known.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka

The 21-year-old defender was signed in order to bolster the club’s defensive lines. During the 2018-19 season, Manchester United conceded a considerable number of goals. He has been roped into the side after he showcased some exceptional defensive skills while plying his trade for Crystal Palace FC.

So, the battle lines are drawn. Manchester United would certainly be looking to end their Premier League drought. They made a promising start to their 2019-20 campaign by registering a resounding win over Chelsea.
