Ringside Boxing Show: Special Edition Angelo Dundee’s last in-depth interview

Last In-Depth interview with Angelo Dundee

On Oct. 30, 2011, we were honored on The Ringside Boxing Show to do an in-depth interview with Hall of Famer Angelo Dundee, legendary trainer of Muhammad Ali, Sugar Ray Leonard, Willie Pastrano, Carmen Basilio, Luis Rodriguez, and 45-year-old George Foreman on the night he knocked out Michael Moorer to regain the heavyweight crown.
On this special edition of The Ringside Boxing Show, we spoke at length to Dundee about his spectacular career, and he responded with countless colorful stories. This conversation with Dundee (who claims on our show that he wrote all of Ali’s poetry) is a wild ride for boxing fans, and may well have been the last in-depth interview Dundee ever did. He died less than four months later.

Don’t forget to listen to the weekly edition of our show, which is posted on the sports network every Sunday about 7 p.m. Pacific, 8 Mountain, 9 Central, 10 Eastern.

And, if you’re a boxing junkie, treat yourself to the most-complete boxing news site on the planet, (updated 365 days a year).

Dennis Taylor is host of The Ringside Boxing Show, editor/publisher of, and co-author (with John J. Raspanti) of “Intimate Warfare: The True Story of the Arturo Gatti and Micky Ward Boxing Trilogy,” currently on Amazon’s Bestsellers list.
