It is day number two for the NFL Free Agency 2020 legal tampering period and things are certainly heating up, especially on the trade front. Not only did we see the Houston Texans trade DeAndre Hopkins to the Arizona Cardinals, but we also saw the same two teams exchange RB David Johnson in a trade as well. Tune in right now to the latest episode of A Fantasy Football Podcast by the FF Faceoff for Anthony Cervino (@therealnflguru) and Mike Hauff’s (@theffrealist) instant reaction and fantasy football impact.
If the Hopkins and Johnson deals weren’t enough, we also have some free agent news from around the NFL to discuss as well as some franchise tag designations with the deadline to tender a player looming.
First off, the Dallas Cowboys finally placed the exclusive franchise tag on QB Dak Prescott, an expected move. We also saw the Cardinals place the tender on RB Kenyan Drake. In free agency news, big time TE Austin Hooper is closing in on a deal with the Browns while the Falcons, his former team, have released longtime RB Devonta Freeman. It has been a busy two days around the league with no signs of letting up so sit back, relax and enjoy the show. I’m sure we will see a lot more NFL News and Rumors trickle in before the day is done.
