Join Matt Andruscavage and former 49ers running back Dexter Carter as they review the 2017 49ers season!
There were ups and downs, but ultimately, this season will be remembered as the starting point for the John Lynch/Kyle Shanahan regime and also for acquiring quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo.
The 49ers were able to win six of their last seven games, including 5 in a row. They go into the offseason with a lot of momentum and a whopping $117 million under the salary cap.
We’ll see what they end up doing during free agency and the draft, but first, they have until March 6th to sign Jimmy Garoppolo. After that, if he’s unsigned, the 49ers have said they will use the Franchise Tag on him to keep him for 2018.
There’s a lot happening, but one thing is for sure. The 49ers have a great chance to be back in the playoffs in 2018!
