On paper this game looks to be a mismatch as last week the Guardians looked more like a soap opera cast than a football team. St. Louis, on the other hand, outplayed Houston but came up short as the officials blew a huge call that really hurt the BattleHawks’ chances to win the game. I do believe the New York defense is good, but if you can’t score points you can’t win, and that’s why I like St. Louis in this game.

Winston Moss is in over his head as the Wildcats Head Coach and he will drown if he doesn’t get this game and he won’t. Watching him call the defense in week 2 was like watching a 2nd grader play basketball against a college player. Hal Mumme actually took Moss to school. The Wildcats have a ton of injuries and the Defenders have proven they can score in all three facets of the game.
Defenders 31, Wildcats 10

Tampa Bay has major issues at quarterback, better known as they don’t have one. The Roughnecks, on the other hand, have the best quarterback in the XFL so far. Tampa Bay has a solid defense and that defense and the home crowd will keep them in the game for a while but eventually talent will overcome emotion and the Roughnecks will move to 3-0.

The Dragons should have a huge home-field advantage, but to win a second straight game they will need a lot more production from quarterback Brandon Silvers. He has a big-time weapon in Keenan Reynolds and they are very good defensively. Dallas is coming off a huge win also and they showed they can run the ball in last week’s game as Cameron-Artis Payne was on fire in the win over Los Angeles. This to me is the game of the week. I think the Dragons pull the upset in this one.
Dragons 16, Renegades 15
