Seattle made their loss to the BattleHawks interesting after falling behind 17-3, as B.J. Daniels replaced Brandon Silvers at quarterback. The Dragons always seem to stay in games but the lack of real talent at the quarterback position is killing this team’s chances.
The Vipers QB Taylor Cornelius finished with 211 passing yards, a TD and an interception. The running game was the story of their latest game and the reason I put the Vipers ahead of the Dragons is because the Vipers’ defense is pretty good, and they can run the ball better.
The Wildcats were playing without two of their main offensive weapons and it showed. Quarterback Josh Johnson threw the ball okay, but he played nowhere near the level he had played the week before.
New York has found a quarterback in Luis Perez. Don’t get me wrong, he was just adequate, but with New York’s defense that is good enough to keep them in most ball games.
Cardale Jones was atrocious once again and now it’s starting to look like the first two weeks were the aberration. They will host the St. Louis BattleHawks next and it may be a must-win game for the Defenders if they want to make the playoffs.
Landry Jones passed for 205 yards but also had three interceptions. He also sustained what looked like a serious injury late in the game. The Renegades overall played well and even though they are 2 games out of first in the West, they still have a good shot to make the playoffs.
The BattleHawks keep battling and quarterback Jordan Ta’amu was very good once again.
Once again P.J. Walker is a stud and this is the best team in the XFL at this point.
