Top 10 Offensive Lines Headed into the 2017 NFL Season

1) Tennessee Titans – Taylor Lewan and Jack Conklin have more than lived up to the first-round hype. The interior of the line is solid also. Let’s start with maybe the most underrated center in the NFL, Ben Jones, and he should only get better in the near future. The guards Quinton Spain and Josh Klein were both undrafted out of college and they have fit in very well along the Titans offensive line. This is a line that has no weakness and has two standout tackles, which is why they are my number one line headed into 2017.

2) Philadelphia Eagles – Much like the Titans, the Eagles have no holes on their offensive line. The only minor question mark would be at center and I look for Jason Kelce to bounce back to his previous form.

3) Pittsburgh Steelers – Over the last half of last season, the Steelers line was the best line in the league. The only reason I have them at number three is that Alejandro Villanueva was shaky at best until the last eight games of last year. That being said, will Villanueva come back like the last eight games of last year or will he regress back to what he was at the start of his career? My guess is he will continue to improve.

4) Atlanta Falcons – The Falcons were one of the best last year and that should continue this year. They will move up in these ratings if either Wes Schweitzer or Ben Garland can prove to be an upgrade at guard.

5) Buffalo Bills – The Bills have been missing a right tackle for years, that problem may be solved with the drafting of Dion Dawkins. How Dawkins plays will have a huge effect on the Bills season.

6) Oakland Raiders – The Raiders, with a quality right tackle, would be the number one group on this list. The problem is they don’t have one and at the moment, they have nobody that looks to be able to fill that hole.

7) Green Bay Packers – the Packers have two of the best pass-protecting tackles in the game. The problem has been the interior line and they need somebody like Jason Spriggs to step up if they want to win a Super Bowl.

8) Washington Redskins – If continuity counts for anything, and it does with me, the Redskins should be solid on the line as they bring back the same starting group from last year intact.

9) Dallas Cowboys – The Cowboys drop off more every year as they continue to try to replace the players they have lost. I think they will be hurting big-time at right tackle this year.

10) Chicago Bears – The Bears have the best interior line in the league. Left guard Josh Sitton, center Cody Whitehair, and right guard Kyle Long are all Pro Bowl-caliber players. The Bears’ problem is at the tackle position, where they are average at best.
