1) Hamilton Ti-Cats
The Ti-Cats are still at the top of these standings after Lirim Hajrullahu kicked a 34-yard game-winning field goal as time expired to lift the Hamilton Tiger-Cats over the Edmonton Eskimos with a 30-27 road win on Friday night. The Ticats survived a 24-point comeback to earn the victory, improving their record to 10-3 while clinching a playoff spot. Dane Evans is not playing like a backup quarterback as he once again played stellar, throwing three TD passes to lead the Ti-Cats.
The Stamps continue to roll as a dominant first half was the difference. They came out with a 23-16 victory over the Toronto Argonauts on Friday night. Calgary quarterback Bo Levi Mitchell seems to get sharper each game after coming back from an injury. Mitchell finished the game 33 of 48 for 346 yards and a touchdown. The Stamps are back and look to have their sights set on another Grey Cup.
The Blue Bombers blew an enormous lead in losing to the Alouettes and it looks like they could be in some trouble right now.
The Riders had a bye this week after a close hard-fought win against Montreal last week.
It seems that any doubters of the Alouettes should now be quieted as Vernon Adams Jr. led an incredible fourth-quarter comeback to lift the Montreal Alouettes over the Winnipeg Blue Bombers with a 38-37 home win on Saturday. The Als scored 21 unanswered points in the fourth quarter, and Adams engineered a 94-yard game-winning drive in the final minute that ended with a 15-yard touchdown pass to Jake Wieneke.
Logan Kilgore got the start for the Eskimos as starter because Trevor Harris is out with an injury. Kilgore threw 3 interceptions that helped cost the Eskimos a win against the Ti-Cats. With a healthy Trevor Harris, the Eskimos are still a worrisome playoff opponent for any team.
The Lions dominated Ottawa, but who hasn’t as of late. The Lions do seem to be improving team.
Toronto, much like BC, has played much better football as of late and a close loss to Calgary shows that the Argos aren’t here just playing out the string.
This is a spot that can’t be argue . The Redblacks are the worst team in the CFL.
