5) Patrick Mahomes, Kansas City Chiefs

His numbers are nowhere near what they have been in the past, but if the Chiefs win their last two games of the season, they will have won ten straight games, and Mahomes could impact this conversation.

4) Jonathan Taylor, Indianapolis Colts

Taylor is getting a lot of love in this debate around the country, and with good reason. Without Taylor’s production, the Colts would probably be on the outside looking in at the playoffs. The big question here is how valuable is a stud running back compared to an elite quarterback? Taylor has rushed for over 1600 yards and 17 touchdowns which are impressive. In four of the Colts first five games, Taylor was held to less than 70 yards, which puts him at the number three spot. Those early games cost the Colts the AFC South, and in my opinion, they should cost Taylor the MVP.

3) Cooper Kupp, Los Angeles Rams

People complain about Taylor not getting enough MVP love, will what about Kupp? He has been productive in every game this season except for one, and that was an early-season game against the Cardinals where he caught five balls for 65 yards. In 14 of 15 games, he has had over 92 yards receiving, and he has averaged almost a TD reception per game. One hundred thirty-two receptions for over 1,700 yards so far this season.

2) Tom Brady, Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Brady is the engine that makes the Buccaneers go, and his 37 Td passes and 11 interceptions are impressive and over 4500 yards passing this season. With almost all his primary weapons out last week, Brady led his team to a 32-6 win at Carolina. The Bucs are poised to defend their title, and Brady is the big reason why.

1) Aaron Rodgers, Green Bay Packers

This almost seems like a lock right now, and to be honest, it would be crazy to think that anybody else could beat Rodgers out right now. The Jonathan Taylor debate is not that strong right now. I am sorry, but a quarterback controls everything, and if Jordan Love were the Packers quarterback right now, they would not be a playoff team. Sure, you could say the same thing right now about Taylor, but Rodgers team is number one in the NFL and has clinched a playoff berth. His impact has been more significant than anyone else’s outside of possibly Tom Brady. In the last five games the Packers have played, Rodgers has 16 TD passes and zero interceptions. For the season, Rodgers has 33 Td passes and just four interceptions.
