Top 5 Offensive Tackles in the 2017 NFL Draft:2/22/17!

Top 5 Offensive Tackles 2017 NFL Draft!

Make sure you check out our QB, WR, RB rankings that we have already done. Offensive tackles in this draft are very weak; I think there are two guys worth taking in the first round after that there is a significant drop-off.

1). Cam Robinson, OT, Alabama
Height: 6-6. Weight: 326.
Projected 40 Time: 5.20.

Robinson improved from the 2015 to 2016 season, his agility was much better, still doesn’t bend his knees as much as you would like to see but it was definitely improved. Had a rough start against Derek Barnett Tennessee’s outstanding edge pass rusher, but he adjusted and played well for the last three-quarters. As a run-blocker, he is very good at turning blockers and opening a hole for the running back. Overall he is a very solid prospect that could go as high as the top 15.

2). Ryan Ramczyk  OT, Wisconsin
Height: 6-6. Weight: 297.
Projected 40 Time: 5.00.

Ramczyk is a solid all-around offensive tackle who is solid in the run game and the passing game. He has very quick feet and the only drawback I saw from watching his film was that he has a hard time adjusting to counter pass rush moves. He has the ability to become an excellent NFL Left tackle.

3). Garett Bolles, OT, Utah
Height: 6-5. Weight: 300.
Projected 40 Time: 5.05.

Bolles would have benefited from another year of College Football. He will need to be coached at a high level to get him up to speed when it comes to blocking quick edge rushers. His feet are slow and he has a hard time handling quick edge rushers.

4). Taylor Moton, OT/G, Western Michigan
Height: 6-5. Weight: 330. Arm: 33.13. Hand: 10.75.
Projected 40 Time: 5.00.

I think Morton will end up being a guard in the NFL. Morton is very versatile and is very good at the point of attack. He looks to me like an NFL right guard or Tackle.

5). David Sharpe, OT, Florida
Height: 6-6. Weight: 357.
Projected 40 Time: 5.40.

Sharpe is a great run-blocker, but as a pass blocker, he leaves a lot to be desired. Sharpe needs to improve his feet especially his kick step, he is very slow getting into his drops in pass protection.
