Today we are going to look at every team’s remaining schedule to predict who will be in the playoffs at the end of this season. If your team is not listed, well I hate to break it to you, but get ready for the draft.
Pittsburgh Steelers (9-2)
The Steelers have not played at the level they should have this year, which is how you get losses to teams like the Bears.
They finish the season at Cincinnati, at home against Baltimore and New England, at Houston, and finish at home against Cleveland.
My prediction for the Steelers is a loss against New England and they will lose a game they are not supposed to.
Baltimore Ravens (6-5)
Joe Flacco and the Ravens offense has been sub-par this season but defense and coaching gives them a shot at a playoff run.
Remaining schedule Detroit, @Pittsburgh, @Cleveland, Indy, and Cincinnati.
I think the Ravens lose the next two and win the final three to end up with a winning record.
Cincinnati Bengals (5-6)
The Bengals still being in contention tells you the overall quality of play in the AFC this year and the schedule tells me contention will not be something the Bengals will be in a couple of weeks from now.
Remaining schedule: Pittsburgh, Chicago, @Minn, Detroit, @Baltimore.
I only see the Bengals winning the Chicago game. All the rest look like losses to me.
AFC West
Los Angeles Chargers (5-6)
The Chargers couldn’t get out of their own way early in the season and now it seems they can do no wrong.
Remaining schedule: Cleveland, Washington, @Kansas City, @Jets, Oakland.
I think the Chargers could easily win out, so I am calling it! I know I’m crazy, but the schedule is weak and they are playing well.
Kansas City Chiefs (6-5)- The Chiefs started out hot and now can’t seem to get out of their own way.
Remaining schedule @Jets, Oakland, Chargers, Miami, @Denver.
I think they lose to the Jets and Chargers and then win the rest.
Oakland Raiders (5-6)
Much like the Bengals, they are not a good team and shouldn’t even be in this discussion. Also like the Bengals, give them a couple of weeks and they won’t be.
Remaining schedule Giants, @Chiefs, Dallas, @Eagles, Chargers.
They win the Giants game and then maybe one more.
AFC East
New England Patriots (9-2)
Remember when everybody thought that Brady was showing his age and the Patriots were in trouble? Well, that was then and maybe it’s time people remember they’re still the Patriots.
Remaining schedule: @Bills, @Miami, @Steelers, Buffalo, Jets.
I think they slip up in one of these remaining games to finish with the number one seed.
Buffalo Bills(6-5)
The Bills, for some reason, don’t want Tyrod Taylor. The problem is, he is the best chance they have at winning.
Remaining Games: Patriots, Colts, Miami, @Patriots, @Dolphins.
AFC Southย
Jaguarsย
The Jaguars are a complete team with one exception, that exception is at Quarterback.
Remaining schedule Colts, Seattle, Houston, @49ers, @Titans.
The Jags defense could take the Jags to the playoffs.
Tennessee Titans (7-4)
The Titans haven’t played well yet but they are capable.
Remaining schedule Houston, @Arizona, @49ers, Rams, Jaguars.
NFC West
Los Angeles Rams (8-3)
One os the surprise teams of the 2017 season, can they finish the season strong.
Remaining schedule @Arizona, Eagles, @Seattle, @Tenn, 49ers.
Not an easy schedule but I think at worst they finish 3-2.
Seattle Seahawks (7-4)
The Seahawks because of injuries look to be in big trouble and the remaining schedule is not easy.
Eagles, @Jaguars, Rams, @Dallas, Arizona.
I think the best they can do here is 3-2 and I am predicting 2-3.
NFC South
New Orleans Saints (8-3)
The Saints have been a huge surprise this season especially on the defensive side of the ball.
Remaining schedule: Panthers, @Falcons, Jets, Falcons, @Buccaneers.
The Saints need a split with Falcons and I think they go 4-1 the rest of the way.
Atlanta Falcons (7-4)
The Falcons look like they are about to go on a run similar to last year.
Remaining schedule Vikings, Saints, @Buccaneers, Saints, Panthers.
I think they split with the Saints and win the rest.
Carolina Panthers (8-3)
The Panthers are playing well but the upcoming schedule will be challenging to say the least.
@Saints, Vikings, Packers, Buccaneers, @Falcons.
I think 3-2 is doable.
NFC North
Minnesota Vikings (9-2)
Case Keenum has been amazing so far this year and the defense has been the best in the NFL.
Remaining schedule @Falcons, @Panthers, Bengals, @Packers, Bears.
I think they lose the next two and win the last three.
Detroit Lions(6-5)
The Lions have very little room for error but the schedule looks relatively easy.
Remaining schedule @Ravens, @Buccaneers, Bears, @Bengals, Packers. They will lose one of the next two games on the road to go 4-1 to finish the season.
Green Bay Packers (5-6)
The Packers are a threat if they can win the next two games and the get Rodgers back.
Remaining schedule Buccaneers, @Browns, Panthers, Vikings, @Lions.
I think 3-2 is where this falls, which is not enough to make the playoffs in the NFC.
NFC East
Philadelphia Eagles (10-1)
The Eagles as of right now maybe the best team in the NFL. The question will be, can they continue on this run?
Remaining schedule @Seahawks, @Rams, @Giants, Raiders, Dallas.
I think 4-1 is to be expected the rest of the way for the Eagles.
