1) The Miami Dolphins are not very good
The Dolphins came into this game at 3-0 to make a statement, and they did. Unfortunately, that statement was that they are still nowhere as good as the Patriots. I am not a Ryan Tannehill hater, far from it. I actually think he is a good NFL quarterback. The Dolphins problem, to me, is Head Coach Adam Gase and the front office. As long as those problems persist the Dolphins will not challenge the Patriots in the AFC East.
The AFC East is and has been for a while one of, if not the worst division in football and after Sunday it still is. With that being said, if you think the Patriots have dropped off you are probably right. If you think they could miss the playoffs you will end up being dead wrong.
I will not even attempt to go into the injuries the 49ers have incurred this season and they have had a similar problem the last few years. However, the way quarterback C.J. Beatherd played yesterday makes me think that all is not lost and I expect the 49ers to beat the Arizona Cardinals next week.
The Bengals are on top of the AFC North without their best Linebacker Vontaze Burfict and their top running back Joe Mixon. Andy Dalton and A.J. Green have been on fire this season and with the way they have gutted out three wins so far, this team has a different feel to it than it did in the past. The next two weeks will tell us a lot as the Bengals get a very winnable game against the Dolphins, and then a huge game against their arch-nemesis the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Very few people thought the Titans would start 3-1 and almost nobody outside of Tennessee thought they would beat the defending World Champion Eagles, but they did. This team the last few years looked poised to break out and now it looks like they have the coach in Mike Vrabel that could make that happen.
Andrew Luck is back to being Andrew Luck and Frank Reich is my kind of guy. You either win or you lose and Reich went for the win and ended up with a loss. If he would have played it safe he would have gotten a tie. Why not go for the win? A tie to me is a loss, so good for Frank Reich as long as the Colts have a coach that’s playing to win they should be alright in the long run.
The Bears are a great defensive team with an excellent running back and now maybe they have the missing quarterback they need. Or maybe the Buccaneers defense is just bad? Either way this team looks more and more like a contender every week and they can win the NFC North.
