This is a matchup between a team that was not expected to be here, and another that is always supposed to be here. The Dolphins destroyed the Steelers early in the season which is why you can’t just chalk this up as a Steelers win.
Miami Dolphins- The Dolphins the last three weeks have been led by backup QB Matt Moore who has eight TD passes and three interceptions in those three starts and is averaging 234.5 yards, with six TDs, in two road starts. Miami KR/WR Jarvis Landry led the team with 94 catches for 1,136 yards. Since entering the league in 2014, he has 288 catches, tied for the most by a player in his first three seasons. On defense, Miami has been led by a ferocious pass rush led by DE Cameron Wake who has 10.5 sacks, four forced fumbles, and an interception in the past 11 games.
Pittsburgh Steelers- The Steelers have been led as always by QB Ben Roethlisberger who is the 10th QB in NFL history with 300 TD passes (301) and is 11-6 in the postseason. Steelers WR Antonio Brown ranked second in the with 106 catches and tied for second with 12 TD catches. His 481 receptions in 2013-16 are the most of any four-year span in NFL history. The Defense has been led by veteran LB James Harrison who leads the Steelers’ with 81.5 sacks and has six sacks in his past eight playoff games.
Steelers OL David DeCastro vs. Dolphins DT Ndamukong Suh- The Dolphins to have any chance of winning this game must stop the Steelers run game, to make matters worse the Dolphins are 30th in the NFL against the run. If the Dolphins can’t contain Bell, this game could be over real quick.
Dolphins WR Jarvis Landry vs. Steelers CB Artie Burns- This is a tough matchup for the rookie Burns, Landry has been great all season with 94 receptions for 1,136 yards. The Steelers secondary is probably the weakest position on the entire team.
This game will be won by the Steelers ground attack; I expect Bell to have a huge game here and the Steelers to win this game comfortably. Steelers 34 Dolphins 17
