QB
Matt Ryan – ATL @ CAR – $6200
Ryan hasn’t looked very good this season with a new Offensive Coordinator, but last week he put together a reasonable 254 yards and 2 TDS to 0 INT. Aside from those simple stats, he lost 2 fumbles and had a TD dropped by Austin Hooper. The Falcons gameplan should include a lot of passing this week vs an excellent Carolina run defense. Ryan has a reasonable floor and a lot of upside.
Jared Goff – LAR @ NYG – $5500
Cheap production in DFS is what wins games. Goff has been inconsistent this season. What he has done is do well in the games where he has a good matchup. In games vs the Colts, Niners, and Cardinals he has 19, 23, and 19 points. This week he gets the Giants 28th ranked pass defense. Also helping Goff is Janoris Jenkins recent suspension, meaning the Giants will be without their #1 corner. Sammy Watkins & Robert Woods are good stack candidates here.
Chiefs vs Cowboys
This is my pick for high scoring game of the week, (honorable mention to Saints-Bucs) most of the starters for each team are good plays this week. The chiefs and cowboys have both been high scoring teams all season, making a good fantasy game. Both QBS, Dez and Tyreek, and the RBs Zeke and Hunt are all options. If I had to pick one to avoid in DFS it might be Hunt as his price is still higher than his recent performance would usually dictate.
RB
Christian McCaffrey – CAR vs ATL – $6500
McCaffrey has averaged 10 targets a game at home this season. That makes for a pretty solid floor. What makes him extra valuable this week is the fact that Atlanta has allowed the 5th most receiving yards to running backs this season. It’ll be interesting to see if the Kelvin Benjamin trade brings even more targets to McCaffrey.
Leanord Fournette – JAX vs CIN – $8400
The price is high, but the volume is hard to match. The Jaguars don’t want to trust Bortles (for good reasons), so they’ve lead the league in rushing yards and are 12 behind the leaders in attempts. Fournette has accounted for most of those with over 700 yards from scrimmage and 7 TDs through 6 games. The Bengals tough front 7 aren’t the best matchup, but they’re certainly exploitable by premier backs (Bell 180+ scrimmage yards).
Devontae Booker – DEN @ PHI – $3500
Another cheap find, Booker has been the primary receiving back since he came back from injury 3 weeks ago. He’s put up 12-6-15 points in that span. Vs an Eagles defense that should shut down CJ Anderson up the middle, Booker has some value. The Broncos will likely be down in this game against the 7-1 Eagles, and Booker should be on the field as they attempt to put up some points. If Osweiler checks down frequently this week Booker will be a good play.
Lamar Miller – HOU vs IND – $6200
Miller has performed better at home all season, and now he gets the last ranked defense. With Deshaun Watson out the Texans will likely lean more on the run game, especially with the lead. Miller checks off all the boxes for a solid RB, at Home, Volume, Poor defense, Projected to win.
WR
Desean Jackson – TB @ NO – $5500
The Tampa @ NO game looks like it could easily be a high scoring affair. Rookie CB Lattimore will likely cover Mike Evans, which could lead to a few more targets for Jackson. That, and the fact that Jackson averages about 20 yards more per game on turf make this an attractive matchup. If Winston comes out of his funk, Jackson is a solid DFS option.
D/ST
Eagles D/ST – PHI vs DEN – $3300
The Eagles defense has only given up 16 PA/G at home this season. I’ll take their odds against a Brock Osweiler lead Broncos team. The same QB that couldn’t make the Browns roster even with a ton of money owed to him.
