These look like teams headed in entirely different directions. The Giants have an old quarterback in Eli Manning and most importantly, they have a bad offensive line. The Eagles have a young quarterback in Carson Wentz who looks like he is starting to progress and he has a lot of pieces around him. This is a must win game for the Giants who sit at 0-2 and 0-3 will be to much for this team to overcome. So let us go ahead and look at the keys to this division rivalry game.
To say Flowers hasn’t lived up to the high expectations the Giants had when they drafted him in the first round would be a huge understatement. Flowers task of having to block Brandon Graham may be an impossible task for Flowers. Graham is one of the best pass rushers in the game and should have his way with the inept Flowers.
No, I really doubt if either will be able to run the ball effectively. If either team was to have sucssess it would swing the game in that teams favor.
Wentz is improving, but with a lack, so far this year, of a running game, Wentz is being forced to throw the ball at an alarmingly high rate. The Giants should have sucssess getting to Wentz and the ability to do this should keep the Giants in the game.
I have my doubts that the Giants can score the required points to win this game and I really think with the Giants inability to keep Manning upright, that will lead to a very long season in the Big Apple.
Prediction: The Eagles are just a better team and they will contend for the NFC East title all year long. Eagles 24 Giants 13
