From a bettorโs perspective, a lot of good โ i.e. potentially lucrative โ games are on the slate for NFL week 6. Beyond most of these seeming blowouts (weโre talking Miami-Atlanta, San Francisco-Washington and Giants-Denver especially here), though, a couple of games would appear to be a gamblerโs nightmare but an enthusiastโs pleasure for fans โ stuff like Rams-Jacksonville and Detroit-New Orleans. Our picks and predictions run below with pointspreads provided by Grueling Truth sponsor .
Even with injuries, the Texans are a much better team than the Browns. This looks to be a blowout in Houstonโs favor; look for a big day by DeShaun Watson.
Prediction: Texans 30, Browns 13
The Jets have played much better than anyone could have expected and injuries are still hurting the Patriots. With all that considered, I still think this looks like a Patriots cakewalk.
Prediction: Patriots 34, Jets 13
I donโt see a way that Miami can score enough points in this game to even be able to keep the game close. The easiest game to pick in all of NFL week 6.
Prediction: Falcons 37, Dolphins 10
This should be a great matchup between two legit elite quarterbacks. I am giving the edge to the Saints since they are at home, but this one could go either way.
Prediction: Saints 31, Lions 27
The Vikings, for the second season in a row, have had major injury problems and with those injuries I donโt think they can score enough points to beat Aaron Rodgers.
Prediction: Packers 27, Vikings 17
I think the Bears are a better team with Mitchell Trubisky at quarterback, but the Ravens are a tough win to get for a rookie.
Prediction: Ravens 23, Bears 13
The Niners will have a hard time scoring points against an improved and aggressive Washington defense.
Prediction: Washington 34, 49ers 6
This is one of the most interesting matchups of the weekend and both teams are still somewhat a mystery. I like the Rams in a close one, with Blake Bortles throwing a couple interceptions being the difference.
Prediction: Rams 17, Jaguars 16
Arizona has become a bad team since losing RB David Johnson and with that being said, I have to take the Bucs here.
Prediction: Bucs 34, Cards 23
The Chiefs might just be the best team in the NFL as of right now. The Steelers seem to be in disarray.
Prediction: Chiefs 27, Steelers 17
The Raiders are in trouble and not just because of an injury to Derek Carr. The Chargers are not a good team right now, but with Phillip Rivers they always have a shot.
Prediction: Raiders 20, Chargers 17
The Giants are terrible up front and that is not a good thing when facing the Denver Broncos.
Prediction: Broncos 31, Giants 13
Injuries have ruined this game.
