32) Jacksonville Jaguars
As expected, Urban Meyer is failing, and he is doing it very quickly. Meyer is in over his head and needs to be removed.
The Lions have been worse than expected, and that’s saying a lot.
The Texans are just a bad football team, and they will probably only get worse from here.
The Jets won, and Zach Wilson played well, but none of that will matter unless the Defense can get healthy.
Maybe the Giants turned a corner with a road win in New Orleans, but the Defense needs to step up.
The Falcons are just not a very good football team, and you have to feel sorry for Matt Ryan; he deserves better than this.
The offense has been beyond bad, and I am afraid that is unlikely to change anytime soon.
Quarterback Jalen Hurts has been inconsistent, and the running game has been non-existent.
The Bears defense can keep them in games, but the quarterback play has to improve.
The Steelers defense was healthy in week one and showed they are one of the best in the NFL. The problem since week one has been that they are not healthy. If the defense doesn’t get healthy soon, the Steelers will be in a lot of trouble.
Luckily for the Colts, the AFC South is a mess, so they can still turn this around. Injuries have decimated this team, and the schedule is rough, but it will get easier after these first five weeks.
The Vikings could very easily be 4-0 right now, but they aren’t, and with the way the rest of the schedule shapes up, head coach Mike Zimmer may be looking for a job soon.
The Defense has surprisingly struggled. Quarterback Taylor Heinicke has surprisingly bailed out the Defense, which is why this team is still relevant this season.
Mac Jones has been getting hit too much. The offensive line was supposed to be a team strength, but that hasn’t happened so far.
Jameis Winston does not look to be the answer at quarterback in New Orleans, as the passing attack has been awful. To win, the Saints need to play great defense and run the ball.
The Titans defense has been bad. The offense has been disappointing as the offseason additions have not reaped the awards expected so far.
Injuries are already starting to affect the 49ers again. If Trey lance has to play quarterback for an extended time, the 49er’s playoff hopes will be in trouble.
The Seahawks defense just hasn’t been outstanding this season. Having Russell Wilson on your side wins you games but not enough to challenge in the NFC West. A Wild Card is the best this team can do.
The Broncos beat up on the have-nots of the NFL, and then Baltimore came to town, and things got ugly for the Broncos. Denver has an outstanding defense, but they will lack the ability to score points this season, which will be their downfall.
The Bengals defense has done a complete turnaround from last year’s pathetic unit. On offense, the Burrow to Chase show has been better than it was even advertised. However, coaching could still be an issue as Zac Taylor has made some head-scratching decisions this year.
The Chiefs defense has killed them this season, especially the red zone defense, which is headed towards historically bad. If the defense doesn’t get fixed, the Chiefs will be in trouble.
The Panthers have been led by a rejuvenated Sam Darnold and a young athletic defense. This team is only to get better from here.
It looked bleak for the Ravens as right before the season, it seemed like they lost every running back on their roster. So far, the savior has been Lamar Jackson, who has shown significant improvement so far this season in throwing the ball.
Derek carr has played more like it’s 2016 this season, and the defensive improvements have been impressive. As a result, the raiders are a contender for a Wild Card spot.
The Packers defense has played well as of late, the concern has to be with the offensive line, but the line has played well so far. If the Line play holds up, the Packers have a shot in January.
The Chargers defense has played well, and Justin Herbert has picked up where he left off in his rookie season. As a result, the Chargers have a complete team.
Tampa barely escaped New England with a win and has generally not lived up to expectations set way too high for this season. However, the Bucs will get better as the season goes and will be a contender come playoff time.
Trevon Diggs and the Cowboys defense have caused turnovers, and the Defense has been one of the biggest surprises in the NFL so far this season. The offense now has a two-headed running attack, and Dak Prescott is proving to be an elite Quarterback.
The Browns defense did a massive overhaul in the offseason, and it looks like it is working. The offense isn’t clicking yet because of a few injuries, but this team can win the Super Bowl when they do.
The rams were beaten badly at home by the Cardinals, but overall so far this season, Matthew Stafford looks like the right guy to lead this offense, and the Defense is solid. So don’t read too much into one game.
The Cardinals offensive line and Defense have shown vast improvements. The offense with some key additions is clicking quicker than anyone could have hoped, and Kyler Murray is having an MVP-type season so far.
The Bills looked bad in a week one loss to the Steelers, but since then has been nothing short of dominant. 2 shutouts in the last three games shows that. The Defense is why they are number one, and Quarterback Josh Allen is starting to look more and more like he did last year.
