32 – Cleveland – The Browns could very well go 0-16.
31 – New York Giants – Both the coach and GM were rightly fired and the Eli Manning looks even weirder with him starting this week.
30 – Denver – Losers of 8 in a row, the Broncos are going to have to answer a lot of questions in the offseason.
29 – Chicago – The Bears have now lost 5 in a row and look ready for the offseason.
28 – San Francisco – Jimmy Garoppolo looks like the kind of quarterback Kyle Shanahan has been looking for as he led them to their second victory in just his first start. In a rare occurrence, the Niners get to move past 2 teams in freefall.
27 – Indianapolis – The Colts keep finding ways to lose, but in the long run, it could benefit Andrew Luck as there could be a major shakeup at coach and GM.
26 – Tampa Bay – The Bucs had a real chance to win in Lambeau and they couldn’t get it done. They have to be one of the two or three most disappointing teams this year.
25 – Houston – The Texans will be fine next year, but for now, it’s ugly.
24 – Washington – The Redskins are out of the playoffs and now the questions surrounding Kirk Cousins will be asked louder and more frequent.
23 – Cincinnati – The Bengals had a 17-0 lead, with their playoff hopes on the line and they found a way to lose. If Marvin Lewis doesn’t get fired after this season, something is seriously wrong with Mike Brown.
22 – Kansas City – The Chiefs are done. Stick a fork in them. There is no reason to think they will make the playoffs after not being able to hold off the Jets.
21 – Arizona – The Cardinals were still in the playoff hunt, but are now out after a loss to the Rams. They will have to figure out their quarterback situation.
20 – Miami – The Dolphins destroyed the Broncos with their defense and suddenly they have a little life. Not sure it will matter though.
19 – New York Jets – Josh McCown has been nothing short of amazing this year and has the Jets from a predicted 0-16 to a respectable 5-7.
18 – Oakland – While it’s been a disappointing season, the Raiders could still make the playoffs.
17 – Detroit – The Lions lost an important game and could be on the ropes if Stafford is hurt.
16 – Green Bay – The Packers were fortunate to get a win, but have to win out and have four teams collapse to have a chance.
15 – Dallas – The Cowboys could be in an interesting spot once Elliot returns.
14 – Buffalo – The Bills at times look like a Wild Card team, but then other times, they look lost.
13 – LA Chargers – The Chargers are making believers out of many, including us at The Grueling Truth. They should win the AFC West.
12 – Baltimore – The Ravens have a good defense, a quarterback who knows how to win, and a great coach. That could be enough to make the playoffs.
11 – Atlanta – The Falcons needed to beat the Vikings, but fell short. The margin of error is nearly gone if they want to make the playoffs.
10 – Tennessee – Tennessee doesn’t always look pretty, but they have been grinding wins out all year.
9 – Jacksonville – The Jags are still in first place and face a big test this week against Seattle.
8 – Carolina – The Panthers will probably make the postseason, but they’re too up and down to be a threat.
7 – Seattle – Russell Wilson could be the MVP. He is doing everything on offense while the front 7 of the defense is getting it done.
6 – New Orleans – The Saints got back on track with a huge win over the Panthers. Now they have to face Atlanta.
5 – LA Rams – The Rams are finding ways to win and have a great chance to win the NFC West.
4 – Philadelphia – The Eagles take a tumble after laying an egg in Seattle. That loss plays into the narrative that they haven’t beaten anyone and lost when they faced a good team.
3 – Pittsburgh – They haven’t won pretty in awhile, but they get it done again behind Big Ben, Bell, Brown and Boswell. Hope Ryan Shazier is alright.
2 – Minnesota – The Vikings are taking care of business each week and keep proving the doubters wrong. One more win and they box up the NFC North title.
1 – New England – The Patriots are 10-2 and make it back to the top of the rankings.
