1) Joe Flacco in Philly?
Jalen Hurts is painful to watch, the RPO’s are getting stale fast, and Hurt’s is not an exciting quarterback and brings no energy to the offense. Sure, Flacco is no spring chicken, but he has to be better than Hurts, doesn’t he?
2) Nick Chubb earning his money in Cleveland
Since signing a new contract with the Browns, Chubb has gotten even better. so far this season, he has had his best yards per game ever. (104) Has his best yards per attempt ever. (5.8) Forced the most missed tackles in the NFL. Is on pace for his most yards ever. Is on pace for his most TDs ever. Many guys get the extension and then immediately drop off, not Chubb. He has gotten better.
3) Cardinals want to win now
The Cardinals lost their starting tight end, Maxx Williams, to injury, and less than a week later, they are trading for the Eagles Zach Ertz. Yet, the Cardinals are serious about winning this year.
4) Eagles are stockpiling picks
The Eagles, after the Ertz trade, now have 11 selections in the 2022 NFL draft, including three first-round picks. They reminded me of the Dolphins a few years ago. Hopefully, it works out better for the Eagles than it has for the Dolphins!
5) Fantasy Sleepers for week 6
Darrel Williams, Chiefs @ Washington, Williams will be the lead back playing against a Washington defense that allows the tenth-most fantasy points to run backs this season.
Carson Wentz, Colts vs. Texans: Wentz is putting up over 260 yds per game, and the Texans defense is not very good. Look for Wentz to have a big game this weekend.
Michael Pittman Jr., Colts vs. Texans: Pittman is quietly enjoying a breakout season, and it will continue on Sunday against a bad Texans secondary.
6) Game of the week
[email protected]: This is a possible Super Bowl preview! Both teams have played exceptionally well this season. The Cardinals are undefeated, and the Browns had two road losses to the Chargers last week, and in week one, they lost at Kansas City. The Browns need this win to keep pace with the Ravens in the AFC North. Cleveland’s defense was terrible last week against the Chargers, and they will have to step it up this week to battle the red-hotย Kyler Murray. I look for Nick Chubb to go off, and Baker Mayfield will make some big-time plays to help the Browns to a big win. Browns 30ย Cardinals 24.
7) Lock of the week
Chiefs -6.5 over Washington: This is a mismatch all the way around. The Chiefs defense has not been good, but they are playing Washington, whose offense has not been great. The Washington defense has struggled so far this season, Chiefs are in a cakewalk. Chiefs 34ย Washington 17
8) Upset of the week
Chargers over Ravens: This should be a shootout, and I like Herbert over Jackson in a shootout. The Chargers are not meant to play against a run-heavy attack, but I think the Chargers passing game torches the Ravens. Expect a great game Chargers 38ย Ravens 31.
