1) Calgary Stampeders
The Calgary Stampeders walked away with a narrow 12-6 victory over the Montreal Alouettes in the first match of a Thanksgiving Day doubleheader. The Stamps entered the 4th quarter trailing 6-0 but scored 12 points in the 4th quarter to get the hard-fought win.
2) Saskatchewan Roughriders
The Saskatchewan Roughriders came out on top in a close 19-12 battle against the Edmonton Eskimos on Monday in a game that saw both defensive units dominate all day long. The Riders have now won three-straight and have improved their record to 10-5. The Riders look like the biggest challenger to the Stampeders.
3) Winnipeg Blue Bombers
Despite holding a 15-point lead with just over three minutes remaining in the fourth quarter, the Blue Bombers saw a victory which seemed so sure nearly slip through their hands after Trevor Harris and the REDBLACKS staged a remarkable comeback, tying the game in regulation and forcing OT.
But it was the Bombers who emerged victorious, as QB Matt Nichols and his offense converted the touchdown and two-point conversion in overtime while the defense did the rest, as LB Adam Bighill forced a fumble to seal the victory for Winnipeg.
4) Ottawa Redblacks
Ottawa has played much better as of late and has the lead in the Eastern Division for most of the last month. They played well but came up short in overtime to the Blue Bombers.
5) Hamilton Tiger-Cats
The Ti-Cats had the bye this past week and with the Redblacks losing have a real shot to still win the East.
6) BC Lions
The BC Lions held off a late surge from the Toronto Argonauts lead by quarterback James Franklin to take home two points on Saturday night and keep things interesting in the West Division.
7) Edmonton Eskimos
The Eskimos offense has been non-existent lately and if they don’t get going they could actually miss the playoffs.
8) Toronto Argonauts
Quarterback James Franklin played well but it was not enough against the Lions this past week.
9) Montreal Alouettes
They had the lead entering the 4th quarter against the Stampeders, but as expected they still lost.
