1) Hamilton Tiger-Cats – The Hamilton Tiger-Cats erased a 13-point halftime deficit in a furious second-half comeback to top the Toronto Argonauts 38-27 on Labour Day Monday at Tim Hortons Field. Hamilton backup quarterback Dane Evans played well but needs to cut down on his interceptions. Still, a nice win for a banged-up Ti-Cats team.
2) Saskatchewan Roughriders – The riders are the hottest team in the CFL and a last-second win over the Bombers, even a banged-up Bombers team, is huge. Quarterback Cody Fajardo has been coming up big in the clutch and if he continues to play the way he has, the Riders could make a huge Grey Cup run in November.
3) Winnipeg Blue Bombers – The Bombers, much like the Ti-Cats, are playing short-handed because of injuries and they were still in the game until the end. The Blue Bombers are a tough and resilient team with a stacked roster.
4) Montreal Alouettes – The Als were idle after a huge win over Calgary last week.
5) Calgary Stampeders – The Stamps got Bo Levi Mitchell back and Mitchell threw for 263 yards and a touchdown while completing 19 of 28 passes in his first game since suffering an injury in week 3. With Mitchell in the lineup, expect the Stamps to go on a run shortly.
6) Edmonton Eskimos – The Eskimos did not play well in a loss to the Stampeders. Quarterback Trevor Harris and running back C.J. Gable had uncharacteristic off days in the loss.
7) Ottawa Redblacks – The Redblacks had the week off and hopefully they can use that extra week to get the train back on the track.
8) Toronto Argonauts – The Argos played well for most of the game against Hamilton but came up short. The Argos are an improving team that just needs to figure out how to close out games.
9) B.C. Lions – The Lions were also off this week and they are ranked last because it seems that take every week off whether they have a game or not.
