9) Edmonton Elks
Edmonton hung in for a little over a half against the league-leading Blue Bombers. But, in the end, turnovers destroyed any chance at being in this game.
8) Ottawa Red Blacks
The Redblacks seem to be improving, especially on defense, as they sacked Vernon Adamd 6 times during the game. The offense has been better but nowhere near good enough to get higher than this spot in these rankings.
7) Montreal Alouettes
The Als will be without their starting quarterback Vernon Adams who suffered a shoulder injury in a close win over Ottawa. Although backup quarterback Matthew Shiltz led the come from behind victory, the question will be, can the Als survive without Adams?
6) Hamilton Tiger-Cats
Hamilton seemed in total control of this game, heading into the fourth quarter with the lead only to see the Argos explode for 19 points in the final quarter.
5) BC Lions
The Lions will be coming off a bye to play a massive game against Calgary this week. The Lions need a win after the beating the Blue Bombers gave them two weeks ago.
4) Saskatchewan Roughriders
Getting swept in back-to-back weeks by Calgary is not a good sign of where this team may be headed. A bye week lies ahead, and then a third matchup with Calgary and the Riders need that win in the worst way.
3) Calgary Stampeders
Bo Levi Mitchell is back and seems to be improving every week. Mitchell led the Stamps to a massive win in Saskatchewan last week, and a healthy Mitchell makes the Stamps a threat.
2) Toronto Argonauts
The Argos are threatening to run away with the east. This past week saw Toronto notch two wins over Ottawa and Hamilton.
1) Winnipeg Blue Bombers
The Blue Bombers are dominating the entire league now, and barring injuries; I don’t see that changing anytime.
