Bet Now Game of the Week: Pittsburgh Steelers at New England Patriots (-6, o/u 51)

Both teams face more questions than usual because both suffered significant losses in the offseason. New England no longer has Gronk and A.B. is gone from the Steel City. Both teams’ defense should be ahead of the offenses and I look for the Patriots to cover just with Brady and Belichick alone.

Patriots 24  Steelers 14

New York Giants at Dallas Cowboys (-7, o/u 45.5)

Zeke is back in the fold and the Cowboys are a very talented team. That being said, the Giants are not without talent and with an improved offensive line, I think they will cover in a close one.

Cowboys 27 Giants 24

Green Bay Packers over Chicago Bears (-3, o/u 46.5)

A great matchup to open the season as you have last year’s biggest surprise against last year’s disappointment. A new coach and new offensive scheme have energized Packers fans and in Chicago expectations are sky-high. This is a game that will go down to the wire, so take the Packers and the points.

Packers 24  Bears 23

Kansas City Chiefs (-4, o/u 52) over Jacksonville Jaguars

The Jags will contend in the AFC South; the Chiefs, on the other hand, will contend to go to the Super Bowl. The Jags defense is good but not great and I think the Jags will not be able to put enough points on the board to cover.

Chiefs 31  Jaguars 20

Atlanta Falcons at Minnesota Vikings (-4, o/u 48)

Both teams have retooled their offensive lines and what looks to be better defenses. This will be a tight game and with the Vikings at home, I am taking the Vikings to cover in a close affair.

Vikings 24  Falcons 17

Baltimore Ravens at Miami Dolphins (-7, o/u 37.5)

The Miami heat would normally be a factor here, but not so much this year. This one should be over early.

Ravens 34  Dolphins 0

Buffalo Bills at New York Jets (-3, o/u 41)

Two young teams with solid defenses and young Quarterbacks will do battle on Sunday. Both teams are building in the right direction, I just think the jets improved more in the off-season than the Bills did.

Jets 24  Bills 16

Los Angeles Rams at Carolina Panthers (-3, o/u 49.5)

Goff got an extension, Newton is back and this is an intriguing first-week matchup. I am going to take the Panthers in a small upset at home.

Panthers 23  Rams 20

Tennessee Titans at Cleveland Browns (-6, o/u 45.5)

The Titans have controversy at quarterback and the Browns have all the hype in the world coming into this season opener.

Titans 27  Browns 17

Washington Redskins at Philadelphia Eagles (-9.5, o/u 45.5)

The Eagles are going with Case Keenum in the opener and my guess is they will attempt to control this game on the ground. My other guess is that it will not work.

Eagles 35  Redskins 10

Cincinnati Bengals at Seattle Seahawks (-9.5, o/u 44.5)

The Bengals will not have the linebackers to handle the run-heavy Seahawks. On offense, the lack of A.J. Green will hurt the Bengals big-time. Even with a healthy Green, the Bengals are losing this one.

Seahawks 33  Bengals 14

Indianapolis Colts at Los Angeles Chargers (-7, o/u 44.5)

I will take Rivers over Brissett even though the Chargers are missing Derwin James.

Chargers 30  Colts 24

Detroit Lions (-2.5, o/u 47) at Arizona Cardinals

My only worry here is that the Lions will come out and play it safe on the road at the start of the game, and if they do the Cardinals could steal the game in the first quarter. I think the Lions are the better team though.

Lions 23 Cardinals 20

San Francisco 49ers at Tampa Bay Buccaneers (pick ’em, o/u 50)

I trust Jimmy G. more than Winston and the Niners defensive line should control the game.

49ers 27 Bucs 17

Houston Texans at New Orleans Saints (-7, o/u 53)

The Saints seem better than last year and the Texans offensive line still has some major issues.

Saints 34  Texans 20

Denver Broncos at Oakland Raiders (pick ’em, o/u 43)

For one night Jon Gruden will be on top of the world as I will take Derek Carr to do just enough to win this game.

Raiders 16 Broncos 13
