Buffalo Bills (10-4) vs. New England Patriots (11-3)

Saturday, December 21 at 4:30 PM ET (NFL Network), Gillette Stadium

After beating the Steelers 17-10 last Sunday, the Bills secured a spot in the playoffs but they still have a chance to win the AFC East. They do need to win out and hope that the Patriots lose out but they meet on Saturday and there’s a reason why games have to be played.

The Bills are 5-0 ATS in their last five games after allowing less than 90 rushing yards in their previous game

The Bills are 7-0-1 ATS in their last eight road games

The Bills are 6-1 ATS in their last seven road games against a team with a winning home record

The Patriots are 2-5 ATS in their last seven games in December

The Patriots are 1-4 ATS in their last five games on FieldTurf

The Patriots are 1-5 ATS in their last six games against a team with a winning record

It will not be easy, the Bills have never beat the Patriots at Gillette Stadium when Tom Brady plays all four quarters but we don’t need them win outright, we are getting 7 points (as of December 16) and I will gladly take them.

NFL Pick: Bills +7

Los Angeles Rams (8-6) vs. San Francisco 49ers (11-3)

Saturday, December 21 at 8:15 PM ET (NFL Network), Levi’s Stadium

The reigning NFC Champions are in danger of missing the playoffs. Their disappointing 44-21 road loss against the mediocre Cowboys is just the latest of a number of poor performances and now they need to win out and hope that the Vikings lose their last two games. The 49ers lost 29-22 against the Falcons after getting outscored 19-9 in the fourth quarter and now they currently hold one of the NFC Wild Card spots.

The Under is:

7-1 in Los Angeles’ last eight games on grass

5-1 in Los Angeles’ last six games against NFC opponents

4-0 in Los Angeles’ last four games following a straight up loss

13-5 in San Francisco’s last 18 home games against a team with a winning road record

5-1 in the last six meetings in San Francisco

This is a must-win game for both teams, the 49ers still have a chance to win the NFC West but they can’t lose any more games and the Rams will be even more desperate. I see both defenses stepping up because of the importance that this game has. I will add Under 46 to my NFL picks this week.

NFL Pick: Under 46

Green Bay Packers (11-3) vs. Minnesota Vikings (10-4)

Monday, December 23 at 8:15 PM ET (ESPN), U.S. Bank Stadium

The Packers visit the Vikings to end Week 16 next Monday. The Packers took care of the Bears, 21-13 at home while the Vikings were able to keep up with them, beating the Chargers 39-10 on the road. The Vikings can still catch the Packers in the NFC North but they have to beat them on Monday first and then win against the Bears on Week 17 and hope that the reeling Lions somehow beat the Packers on December 29.

The Packers are 2-6 ATS in their last eight Monday games

The Packers are 1-4 ATS in their last five road games against a team with a winning home record

The Packers are 1-5 ATS in their last six games following an ATS win

The Vikings are 11-3 ATS in their last 14 home games against a team with a winning road record

The Vikings are 16-5-1 ATS in their last 22 games as a home underdog

The Vikings are 36-15-1 ATS in their last 52 home games

The Vikings are 41-17-1 ATS in their last 59 games on FieldTurf

Both teams have won four of their last five games but I will take the 4.5 points (as of December 16) with the Vikings at home, Kirk Cousins is playing the best football of his life and this can be a hard-fought game that will go down to the wire.

NFL Pick: Vikings +4.5
