2016 The Grueling Truth’s NFL Mock Draft 4/14/16

<>of the Lockheed Martin Armed Forces Bowl at Amon G. Carter Stadium on December 29, 2015 in Fort Worth, Texas.

1). Los Angeles Rams: Carson Wentz, QB, North Dakota State: No-brainer a talented team that has a need at QB, big question is can they upgrade the offensive line?

2). Cleveland Browns: Jared Goff, QB, California: I would not be surprised if the Browns pass on Goff. Then again I don’t think anything the Browns could do would surprise me.

3). San Diego Chargers: Laremy Tunsil, OT, Ole Miss: The offensive line has been a disaster area the past several seasons, but that probably would no longer be the case with Tunsil stationed on the blind side to protect Philip Rivers from all of the ferocious pass-rushers in the AFC West.

4). Dallas Cowboys: Joey Bosa, DE, Ohio State:
Some teams are worried about Bosa’s nightlife, pertaining to party drugs. Luckily for Bosa little things like that mean very little to Jerry Jones.

5). Jacksonville Jaguars: Myles Jack, LB/RB, UCLA: Between Jack and Jalen Ramsey, from what I am told the Jaguars are planning on concentrating on strengthening their front 7. Jalen Ramsey would be hard to pass up, here.

6).  Baltimore Ravens: Jalen Ramsey, CB Florida: If he is here this would be an absolute steal for the Ravens.

7). San Francisco 49ers: DeForest Buckner, DE/DT, Oregon: Buckner would be a great pick here, hands down best defensive lineman in this draft.

8). Philadelphia Eagles: Ezekiel Elliott, RB, Ohio State: Same concerns about Elliott as Bosa, a few teams are worried about his penchant for partying also.

9). Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Leonard Floyd, DE/OLB, Georgia: Floyd may not seem like a logical fit for a 4-3, but Tampa would use him like Anthony Barr.

10). New York Giants: Vernon Hargreaves, CB, Florida: He doesn’t fill a pressing need, but the team has no depth at cornerback. That’s a problem, since it’s a must to have three viable corners in this day and age. Hargreaves could eventually step in as a starter once Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie moves on. This is a team that badly needs depth on defense.
11). Chicago Bears: William Jackson, CB, Houston: A reach pick, but best corner left and the bears need to desperately upgrade the position.

12). New Orleans Saints: Sheldon Rankins, DT, Louisville: Wouldn’t be surprised if saints went interior offensive line, but Rankins is a fierce interior player that the Saints need.

13). Miami Dolphins: Jack Conklin, OT/G, Michigan State: In my opinion best offensive lineman in this draft.

14). Oakland Raiders: Jarran Reed, DE/DT, Alabama: Raiders filled a lot of needs in the offseason, still have to acquire is some help on the defensive line, especially in the wake of Mario Edwards’ potential career-threatening neck injury. Reed will be the best defensive lineman available at this position.

15). Tennessee Titans:  Ronnie Stanley, OT, Notre Dame: With all the picks they acquired from the Rams don’t be surprised to see them trade back up.

16). Detroit Lions: Shaq Lawson, DE, Clemson: Need to upgrade defensive line and Lawson could make an immediate impact.

17). Atlanta Falcons: Kenny Clark, DT, UCLA: Need defensive line help, this is where Clark comes in.

18). Indianapolis Colts: Ryan Kelly, C, Alabama: If they don’t fix Luck’s line quick they may end up shortening his career. Absolute MUST to select offensive lineman in this draft.

19). Buffalo Bills: Darron Lee, OLB, Ohio State: Perfect fit for Rex Ryan’s scheme.

20). New York Jets: Reggie Ragland, ILB, Alabama: Would be a huge upgrade for the Jets.

21).  Washington Redskins:  Laquon Treadwell, WR, Ole Miss: Surprise pick here, Redskins biggest need is a defensive tackle. With Treadwell here they upgrade the wide receiver corp and can go for defensive lineman they need in second round. This is what I think will happen if Kenny Clark is gone here.

22). Houston Texans: William Fuller, WR, Notre Dame: In my opinion the best receiver in this draft, if the Texans get him with the other players they have already added in the off season, watch out for the Texans!

23). Minnesota Vikings: Mackensie Alexander, CB, Clemson: Surprise they don’t take a receiver, but with Treadwell gone, I think Zimmer goes best player available. To me Alexander should go between 12-20.

24). Cincinnati Bengals: Emmanuel Ogbah, DE, Oklahoma State: With the top 2 receivers gone, I think the Bengals look to add another pass rusher to the team.

25). Pittsburgh Steelers: A’Shawn Robinson, DE/DT, Alabama: He doesn’t have character concerns, but he has said some strange things and has shown a lack of interest for football. Thus, he could fall, and if he does, Pittsburgh will scoop him up in order to have a great defensive line rotation.

26). Seattle Seahawks: Kevin Dodd, DE, Clemson: Need to upgrade a mediocre pass rush.

27). Green Bay Packers: Josh Doctson, WR, TCU: Need offensive lineman, but nobody is left here that would be worth a first round pick.

28). Kansas City Chiefs: Eli Apple, CB, Ohio State: Added upgrade to the Chiefs defensive backfield.

29). Arizona Cardinals: Keanu Neal, S, Florida: Safety help is a huge concern after NFC Championship game.

30). Carolina Panthers: Germain Ifedi, OT/G, Texas A&M: Offensive line is in need of a boost if they want to win a super bowl.

31). Denver Broncos: Jonathan Bullard, DE/DT, Florida: Would replace Malik Jackson who left in the off season.
