To me the best quarterback in college football is Caleb Williams and I do not think it is really that close. He is the favorite to win the Heisman again, but we know Heisman voters do not want to give back to back trophies to anyone. The Key to Willaims winning it is probably taking his Trojabs to the CFP.

The talented USC quarterback Caleb Williams is currently listed with +500 odds to win the Heisman Trophy this year. Although these odds indicate his high likelihood for this prestigious award, winning back-to-back Heismans can be extremely difficult.

Bryce Young of Alabama stands as an example. After winning the Heisman in 2021, he entered the 2022 season as one of the favorites. Still, he ultimately fell short of reaching the finalist stage despite eventually becoming NFL Draft No.1 overall pick. This is a reminder that even highly touted players such as Young and Williams face immense pressure to meet such lofty standards – something  Williams could find difficult.

Only Ohio State’s Archie Griffin achieved this incredible achievement in 1974 and 1975 – his remarkable success underscores its rarity among college football players.

Quinn Ewers of Texas is currently listed at +1100 odds to win the Heisman Trophy. Though possessing considerable raw talent, there have been doubts regarding his ability to retain his starting role given freshman standout Arch Manning’s surprising spring-ball play and some doubts regarding Ewers himself keeping it.

Ewers has quickly established himself as one of the premier quarterbacks in college football. He stands out among his peers with exceptional physical capabilities and natural ability. Although, with this talent, there remains uncertainty regarding his starting position at Texas; should he start and lead them back to prominence, he could easily contend for a Heisman Award.

Ewers’ Heisman Trophy chances will ultimately depend on how he performs and whether he can hold off competition from Arch Manning to remain the starting quarterback for Texas. If Ewers can rise to the challenge and display his talent regularly, he may be able to claim this prestigious prize.
