Tigers Roar Past Rebels 31-16

Oxford:

On a cool fall day in Oxford, the Auburn Tigers traveled to Ole Miss in a must-win situation for the Tigers. Auburn answered the call and pounded the Rebels in every aspect of the game and got a massive 31-16  win at Ole Miss.

Ole Miss struggled all game long stopping the run giving up 269 yards on the ground to a talented Auburn running attack. Ole Miss started the game with a lockdown defense but after getting very little help from the offense the Rebels got tired and gave up massive plays to Auburn.

The tale of the game especially in the second half was Auburn earning the big yardage plays exposing the Ole Miss defense as bare. Matt Luke and company will have a much-needed rest before the Rebels start the second half of the season with a home game against South Carolina.

After an embarrassing loss last week to Tennessee, the Auburn Tigers needed a win today to keep the fan base into the season and the Tigers showed just how dominant they can be.

The Auburn offense was very impressive today going for 484 yards with 215 through the air and 269 on the ground.

Jarrett Stidham led the Tigers going for an impressive 13-22, 215 yards, and 1 TD.
