College Football Point Spreads and Predictions for Week 7

The time to seriously talk college football playoffs is almost upon us, but not much will be revealed about the nation’s top teams. Playing point spreads in week 7 may get a little tricky, so the following are The Gureling Truth’s picks on a baker’s dozen or so of big games; all point spreads are provided by TGT Network sponsor My Bookie.

Washington State -22.5 at California

The Cougars seem to be a real contender this year and the reason my just be a vastly improved defense. The Cal Golden Bears are improved, nut still nowhere at the leof the Cougars.

Prediction: Washington State 37, Cal 17

Texas Tech +3 at West Virginia

Both of these teams have excellent passing games and improved defense’s and with the Big 12 seemingly wide open now this game has taken on an added importance. Look for the homefield advantage to be the deciding factor in this game.

Prediction: West Virginia 27, Texas Tech 24

TCU -6 at Kansas State

This looks to be a tough road test for the Horned Frogs, but in the end they have way too much fire power for Kansas State.

Prediction: TCU 38, Kansas State 20

Florida State -7 at Duke

Another chance for the Blue Devils to make a statement about their program. I just think if you look back at the Devils other chance against the Hurricanes and how that ended up all signs point to a Seminole win.

Prediction: Florida State 31, Duke 21

Utah +13 at USC

I am really not sure what to think of the Trojans, but the Utes are a solid team that will stay in the game.

Prediction: USC 34, Utah 27

Oklahoma -8 at Texas

All of the sudden this game has some intrigue as the Sooners lost to Iowa State and the Longhorns have played much better as of late. I think Texas keeps it close.

Prediction: Oklahoma 31, Texas 27

Ohio State -24 at Nebraska

I think the Buckeyes are just flat out a lot better than the Cornhuskers.

Prediction: Ohio State 44, Nebraska 17

Arkansas +31 at Alabama

Bama wins easy, but 31 points is a lot of points to give the razorbacks.

Prediction: Alabama 41, Arkansas 20

Baylor +26 at Oklahoma State

Oklahoma State wins easy, but Baylor can score enough to cover the spread.

Prediction: Oklahoma State 48, Baylor 28

Missouri +30 at Georgia

Missouri is terrible and Georgia looks like a top 5 team in the country, so to me there is no question about this game.

[What? No prediction for this game? Okay, let’s go with Georgia 47, Misssouri 3. –Ed.]

Texas A&M +3 at Florida

I think the Aggies may be the better team, but they seem to find ways to lose game and Florida at home will find a way to win.

Prediction: Florida 24, Texas A&M 20

Oregon +10 at Stanford

I think that Willie Taggart is the right guy to lead the Ducks back to national prominence, but right now Stanford is just a better team.

Prediction: Stanford 31, Oregon 17

Georgia Tech +6 at Miami

This is my upset special! I like Tech’s triple option to cause the Canes all kinds of problems and win this game.

Prediction: Georgia Tech 31, Miami 27

Auburn -7 at LSU

Auburn is starting to hit it’s stride and I look for them to take care of LSU rather easily.

Prediction: Auburn 34, LSU 13
