Louisville Cardinals(-3.5) at N.C. State Wolfpack
The Wolfpack have played well as of late which includes a win at Florida State. The strength of the Wolfpack is their ability to get after the quarterback. Louisville is basically a one man show, but what a show! Lamar Jackson makes the Cardinals dangerous against most any team they play. N.C.State’s ability to get after the quarterback makes the difference in this game.
Notre Dame Fighting Irish (-14.5) at North Carolina Tar Heels
The only thing that makes me question this game at all would be the uncertain status of Irish quarterback Brandon Wimbush who threw 3 touchdown passes last week. Even with that concern, I do not see the Heels even being competitive in this game. The Heels only win was over Old Dominion and last week’s performance against Georgia Tech tells us all we need to know about this game.
Penn State Nittany Lions (-14.5) at Northwestern Wildcats
This game will come down to Northwestern’s ability to block Penn State’s front seven and the Wildcats just aren’t very good up front. The Wildcats, on paper, should be a much better team than what they are. I like Penn State a lot in this one.
Maryland Terrapins at Ohio State Buckeyes (-30)
The Buckeyes are offensively great against mediocre competition and that is what the Terrapins are. Maryland has shown some capability on offense, but I like the Buckeyes here.
Wake Forest Demon Deacons at Clemson Tigers (-21.5)
Wake Forest is a solid team, but Clemson is one of the best teams in the country and I find it hard to believe that Wake can hang in this game for more than a half.
Michigan State Spartans at Michigan Wolverines (-10)
Michigan has questions at quarterback, but the defense is one of the best in the nation. The Spartans are just an average team this year and the Wolverines should roll at home.
California Golden Bears at Washington Huskies (-27)
Cal has played well so far this year and are capable of keeping this game close for a half. In the end, the Huskies will pull away and win this game, but my question is the point spread and I am taking the Bears to cover.
Oregon State Beavers at USC Trojans (-34)
The Trojans look to be a very overrated team right now and Oregon State is just not very good. I like to Trojans to end this one early.
West Virginia Mountaineers at TCU Horned Frogs (-13)
I think the Mountaineers can hang for awhile, but in the end, the Horned Frogs will prove why they are a Top 10 team and National Title contender.
LSU Tigers at Florida Gators (-3)
The Tigers are a bad football team and the Gators always seem to find a way to win.
Iowa State Cyclones at Oklahoma Sooners (-28)
Oklahoma is just way too strong for the Cyclones here. Look for Sooners quarterback Baker Mayfield to put up huge numbers in this one.
Alabama Crimson Tide (-26.5) at Texas A&M
The Aggies should be undefeated, but they aren’t and Coach Kevin Sumlin is on the hot-seat. This game gives him a chance to get off it, but he won’t.
Miami(Fla) Hurricanes (-3) at Florida State Seminoles
The Seminoles’ offensive line is a huge problem and I look for the Canes to take huge advantage of it.
