This year I feel as if we need to win more at the line of scrimmage. Last year we were very young and played against some older and more physical teams in the playoffs. That is no longer the case, because our boys are older, and have really put in the work during the off-season.
Personally, I believe I am better on the defensive side of the ball.
My personal goals are to be first team all OVC, First team All district, and All-State honorable mention. But none of these goals come before my team. I would much rather win a state title, than a personal accolade.
The one team I never want to lose to is Chesapeake. Although we have gotten the best of them the last couple of years, those games are always so unpredictable.
As a young player, I learned how to be a true leader. Down 7 or 14 it is easy to keep going 100%. But the few that kept going down 28 were the true leaders that I looked up to and aspire to be like.
It will be amazing to have all the fans back this year. I expect the community will really rally behind us this year, as we have a true chance to become the first Fairland team to ever win a state title.
A Fairland home game is so special to me because I grew up around the field from a young age. Although it isn’t the prettiest, I feel our grass field is perfect for the way our team plays football. I feel it signifies the toughness we have as a football team.
To go along with football, I play basketball and baseball.
I love every genre of music. My taste varies from Michael Jackson to Rock and Roll.
My favorite football movie is definitely Remember The Titans.
