The FACS Crusaders kicked off the 2019 season on Friday night when the JCS Eagles came to town.
JCS took an 18-7 lead to the locker room to end the first half. The Eagles came out swinging in the first half scoring the games first touchdowns to make it 12-0 early in the first quarter. FACS then answered with 11:34 in the second to make it 12-7.
JCS added one more touchdown with 50 seconds left in the first half to make it 18-7 at the break.
FACS came out swinging in the second half, even jumping out to a 28-24 lead with 4:10 left to play in the game. In the end, though it was all the Eagles from Jackson Christian with the game-winning touchdown with just 34 seconds left in the game to bring the final score to 30-28 in favor of the visiting team.
The FACS Crusaders will return to action next Friday night with a road game at the Bolton Wildcats.
