14) Indiana Hoosiers
From a preseason top 20 ranking to this? This is the most disappointing Indiana football season I have ever seen, and I have been alive for over 50 years. The Hoosiers are closing in on a winless Big Ten season. For the best college football news click here!
13) Northwestern Wildcats
Another blowout loss this past weekend will mean no Bowl game this year for the Wildcats.
12) Maryland Terrapins
The same as always in Maryland, play a top-tier team and get blown out. The good news for the Terrapins is that they sit at 5-5, and another win makes them bowl eligible. The fact that Maryland is close to bowl eligibility tells you just how important getting to a Bowl is? That would be not very important when a Maryland can qualify.
11) Nebraska Cornhuskers
Scott Frost will be back for another year. Is that surprising? No, I don’t think it is, but next year will be do or die for Frost.
10) Rutgers Scarlet Knights
It looks like Head Coach Greg Schiano is in the process of turning the Scarlet Knights around yet again. One more win, and Rutgers will be bowl eligible, and that’s saying a lot at Rutgers.
9) Illinois Fighting Illini
The Illini have played better than expected this year, and wins in each of their final two games will get them to bowl eligible.
8) Purdue Boilermakers
I think that this has been a season better than any Boilermakers fan could have expected! They were no match for the Ohio State Buckeyes, but Purdue has pulled off two substantial upset wins this season and should be playing in a bowl game when it’s all said and done.
7) Minnesota Golden Gophers
The Gophers lost a tough one on Saturday 27-22 to the Iowa Hawkeyes, but I think P.J. Fleck has Minnesota headed in the correct direction.
6) Penn State Nittany Lions
Penn State has a great defense and an almost non-existent offense at times, leading the Lions to a mediocre record of 6-4.
5) Iowa Hawkeyes
Iowa is back with back to back wins and has a shot at the Big Ten Championship game. The Hawkeyes are an outstanding defensive team, and if they could get a little more out of their offense, they would be in the Big Ten title game.
4) Michigan Wolverines
The Nittany Lions barely squeak the Wolverines, and while I think Coach Harbaugh has done an excellent job with this team, they are still not ready for the Buckeyes.
3) Wisconsin Badgers
Please don’t sleep on these Badgers as they are red-hot and capable of beating anybody in the Big Ten, and that includes Ohio State.
2) Michigan State Spartans
The Spartans are coming off a solid win over Maryland, and now the moment of truth will arrive as they will battle the Ohio State Buckeyes. A win and then a College football playoff berth is a possibility in East Lansing.
1) Ohio State Buckeyes
I firmly believe the Buckeyes will win the Big Ten and make the College playoffs. I also think that the defense is just not good enough to win a National Championship this season. If you want the best place to bet college football this is that place!
